    Urgh, rant alert...

Had my 20 week NHS scan today (but I was actually 21 weeks today) and it was a bit of a disaster. Wanted to know flavour but baby had its legs crossed at the knee when she looked.

Also paid £2.50 for a photo and I'm sorry but I want my money back! Will scan it in tomorrow so you can see how bad it is. My 13 week picture is miles and miles better! I can't believe she took the money off me...

On the paper slip they give you it said at the bottom that the scan was "technically difficult" due to baby positioning and 'body habitus' (meaning stomach fat). Not sure why it was OK at 13w then as i haven't put on any weight yet!

Anyway, I could have cried when I left and I know it's a stupid thing to get upset about, I chided myself by reminding me of all the lovely ladies on the TTC thread and also DH reminded me that all its limbs and organs are confirmed there so wouldn't I rather that than (his words) "know it's a boy with one arm" - sorry to all those out there with one arm btw!

So I've taken positive action and in the name of MSE pregnant peeps, I thought I'd share this with you. At 25 weeks I'm going to: http://www.meetyourbaby.com/index.php
in Leeds for Our Little Star all inclusive package: £150
Includes 3D/4D Bonding Scan. You will also receive 2 x 3D black & white images and 8 x 3D colourised photographs. As well as a CD of the very best 3D stills and a DVD of 4D movie images to take home.

If you quote real radio you can get it for £99 if there are still places left!

I know it's a lot to spend but I feel so sh*t after today's NHS scan that I need something to look forward to.

You know what though - you do right, we build ourselves up for these scans and when they dont go to plan because we have a naughty baby then we feel deflated :p

Why shouldnt you have a private one to lift yourself again :D

Well I am so fluffed off you wouldn't believe.. I am bleeding again.. I hate this.. I did the exact same with DD1.. I am excessively hot.. like sweat stood on me hot.. I was like this when I was really ill last summer but I'm not ill!, can barely walk, my um feels bruised from the constant cramping for the last week.. I am trotting off to mw on Wednesday and demanding a scan to check the position of the placenta.. I think it may well be very low.. and not in a good place... hence the bleeding.

I cannot stand being this hot I just want to die.. and cry.. and whimper like a fool...

I can't even get my right leg on the bed now I have to lift it up.. it is just the most incredibly depressing state to be in :(

I am miserable today.. can you tell it has got hotter here again?

    hey ladies

hugs to all those who are hot / sick / in pain / have fat feet / have nasty in laws and to anyone else that needs them!

*whispers so as not to jinx it* i am currently rocking on my birthing ball in what i suspect to be early labour - might finally get off that list!

had a second sweep today after calling the MW in a bit of a panic about not wanting to be induced - really lovely MW and student MW let me tag onto end of clinic and gave me a very VIGOROUS sweep, told me to come home rest up and nab OH for a bit of nooky when he came in from work - think it has done the trick (fingers crossed)
