How stupid as if the majority of women are gonna way the same as an elephant. I'm pretty sure the birthing centre attached to our hospital has a pool in every room it was only built a few years ago though. I'm not allowed to go there though due to previous complications but i can give birth at home it is a stupid system they use not that im complaining i want to stay at home :-)

Mine are cheapo ones from Avon, not the most attractive of things but they do the job and they were only £10!!!!

Are the avon ones just normal flip flops?

At least your council do something, ours do nothing!! For a while they had a few samples to hand out but the nappies were a bit naff... And they don't even do that now!

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Had 2 antenatal classes last week and found them quite boring. Didnt tell you anything you can read about anywhere else and then killed some trees with a load of leaflets. Was nice to go to though and discover i know mpre than i thought!
2 weeks left at work and cant wait to finish getting really uncomfortable sitting all day, its starts to hurt.

To whoever has the dodgy in-laws i totally sympathise, mine are supposdly really excited but never come visit or phone or anything. Have seen them twice in the last 5 months, and that was when we had to ask if it was ok to go visit! oh has a wee bro still at home and he found out about pregnancy 2 weeks before we told his parents. Do get upset that theyre not interested but figure its their loss.

    hello all

just had a quick catch up but can't remember everything I wanted to say!

My sainsbury's saga continues, went to pick up the stuff I'd ordered and it wasn't in yet. Was incandescent as I'd left work early and gone out of my way in the heat! Anyway, after demanding to see the manager I have managed to get him to say he'll bring it round himself tomorrow evening! Remains to be seen if this actually happens! In the end it took me 2.5 hours to get home from work going via there...should've just paid for delivery I was being cheap!

freebie - depends re those nappies, personally I am going to used shaped ones rather than prefolds as easier. There are some great reusable bargains on ebay at the moment too. I have far too many nappies...got a bit obsessed i think!

fitflops are too narrow for my square feet!

KK hope you're ok, i'm sure it's natural to panic at this stage! Your OH does need a talking to though!

I can hardly eat at the moment, I hate this heat...sir monster i was thinking how lucky you were to be off today when I was stuck on a volcanically hot bus!!

All my local council do is give you one free nappy! And its HUGE!!! I wish they did the cashback thingy, I might consider buying some then as it just seems such an expense :(

Hi everyone, im 29 weeks tomorrow, it seems to be going fast. Im starting to feel more tired now and have less energy. Doing things is getting harder. Dh bought me a gym ball on saturday and that has been helping with my rib and now back pain. Im hoping it will help baby to move down as he is lying across at the moment.

Got my second driving lesson tomorrow. I find that in this heat by the afternoon my ankles and my feet a bit are swollen. I do like the warm weather but did find it hard to take our dog for a walk in it today, so was glad to get home and put the fan on.

Sorry, but will be back to enjoy it next week :p I can do the trains as they are mostly a/c but like you say the buses and the trams are likely saunas - by the time I get home it's awful. Looks like a hot one tonight and tomorrow, hope to be cooler by weds.

Started washing bubs clothes, hope some will dry in the heat :)
