Well im getting a little worried now i think babs has engaged i can literally feel her in my pelvis and the pressure is unbelieveable also at about 3am this morning i started getting painfull tightenings which were coming every 10-15 minutes and lasted until around 7am when i got up properly. I cant move now without setting off the braxton hicks and since yesterday morning i have been to the toilet 4 times for a number 2 and this is a woman who has been constipated since giving birth to bubs 10 months ago. So i'm going to pack my hospital bag just incase today as i have a feeling i may not have much longer left i am hopeing and praying she doesnt some out until the 4th august though i really want my home birth. I need stay put vibes please :-( x
Just out of interest.. is this a typical sign of things starting off?? My babys head has engaged, has been pushing down more and more for about a week. It gets very painful at times. I keep getting regular braxton hicks, getting more and more severe and last for several hours then stop. I have also been to the toilet 4 times for a number 2 since yesterday morning (sorry if TMI!)0 -

DP - with my first pg I didn't even notice a show. With dd I had my show on the Sunday and she was born on the wednesday.
Stay put vibes for xmas!
I can't seem to stay awake today - took the kids to school and then came back and fell asleep, finally dragged myself of the sofa about 11 but still could fall back to sleep.0 -
Hi everyone, feeling emotional today. Also fed up of it raining now, sick of trying to get the washing dry only for it to rain. Starting to get nervous about my driving lesson this afternoon.
Sending stay put vibes to xmaslolly. Hope you get a scan and that the bleeding stops pigpen. Hugs to Katy. Congrats to Sammy and sorry to hear you had the mfh.
Also got back pain so sat on gym ball.Married 09/09/090 -

Kitkat its different for everyone but these things ring alarm bells for me as they dont tend to occur until im ready to drop especially the toilet thing as i say ive been constipated for months now and ive just had to go again. I dont normally get painfull braxton hicks just very uncomfortable ones that prevent me from moving much as everything goes solid last nights tightening were painfull but then you can get painfull braxton hicks as well and having not long had a baby im wondering if my tummy muscles are struggling a bit hence the pain. Your further along than me so yes everything you mentioned could be a sign you just never know. Sorry thats not very helpful at all really is it. :-)
Anyways ive been to the midwife babs is not engaged but is very low she said she could be moving up and down which is probably right as the pressure does seem to have eased off now. I'm still measuring perfectly and my blood pressure and urine are ok too. I'm still gonna pack my bag just incase but i have a not so wonderfull feeling i am going to be like this for the next few weeks and its going to be hell :-(:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Arrrrr student finance are doing my head in, how hard is it for them to sort my application out and understand what i have applied for aned asked them for numerous times and sent the evidence in twice now. This has been ongoing for months now. They dont have a clue.Married 09/09/090

Thanks Xmas, it is very helpfulas its my first time I really have no idea and hearing from someone with previous experience its a good help
Think I have been having 'false starts' as I get agonising back pain, followed by regular contractions where I cant sit/ stand/ anything I just have to keep moving. And then it stops!! Its a right pain! I spose I will know when its happening for real; my bags are packed ready, I have split them into 3 as some other ladies on here are, got my labour bag, after labour and baby bag. Also wrote out instructions to OH saying what to bring; my 3 bags and when I need each, bring car seat, camera, and of course clothes for me after (not packed them yet as I am getting low on clothes and kinda need them!)
