I intend to use the mattress that came with my ebay cotbed, it's immaculate, the covers come off to be washed and it has a waterproof bit.
I've seen a lovely lovely house... But it's in Cornwall!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Question for you experienced ladies...(i know its my 3rd but i've never thought of this before)
What do braxton hicks actually feels like, my bump goes all hard but i always thought it was baba pushing its back against it, but now that i've thought of it its like my whole bump firms up which i don't know if it could do that??
Went to the next sale this morning, my first time, we have 3 pretty big next stores here went to the smallest then the biggest (in scotland, i think) got a few nice bits that i had spotted on thursday with the prices already pencilled on so i knew they'd be in the sale although i then got all stressed as i realised it was short sleeve short legged suits and baba will be in it in november time, but think they will be fine for in the house, also got a gorgeous snowsuit! £50 of stuff for 25! love it, planning on saving some of my redundancy for the xmas one. i fit wasn't a yellow bump i had i'd be skint!
Think SPD is defo kicking in everytime i turn over or get up i feel pain in my pubic bone like i've been kicked there, does that sound like spd?
Hope everyone is good, great news about sainsburys rach x29 year old SAHM to two boys 13 & 5 and a little pink princess >1Wins: £500 for my sons school + goody bag / Cushelle Koala / can of Spam / Crunchy nut mug / £250!! / Blu-ray Home cinema system / mascara / nail varnish / Disney Jnr cinema ticks / Turbo Tango / £10 Asda Voucher0 -
I have SPD and I've been struggling at night too. If you go see your GP (or maybe the mw, I had contagious children at the time and couldn't go to clinic) they will refer you to a pregnancy physio who will give you a super sexy support belt and some helpful exercisesMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I have a really bad back as well which the midwife said is strange as its up near thetop, well under my bra strap area and it moves round to my ribs at the front, she gave me a tubigrip for that but told me the waiting time for physio is too long so referred me to the physio ante natal class, which she did the last time too, but a friend of mine has said the waiting list isn't that bad and she had a physio visit her at home within a couple of days of being referred by her doc, so going to go to ante natal on wednesday then i have doc on friday to get a fit for work note so will bring i up then and see what happens x29 year old SAHM to two boys 13 & 5 and a little pink princess >1Wins: £500 for my sons school + goody bag / Cushelle Koala / can of Spam / Crunchy nut mug / £250!! / Blu-ray Home cinema system / mascara / nail varnish / Disney Jnr cinema ticks / Turbo Tango / £10 Asda Voucher0

I'd vote for the doctor tbh. As I said before we had one here doing a year's general practice for some king of higher degree who had little experience of antenatal care, offered to refer me for an extra scan without me even asking when I was worried about bubs being quiet, and when I asked for a physio referral he went 'OK' and did it.
He said himself he doesn't know how women do it, if he could be pregnant he'd be in the surgery making a pain of himself every 5 minutes :rotfl:
See if you can find one like that!
I think sometimes the midwives just think you're making it up. You could always ring the hospital for advice and say that you're suffering and feel like you're being fobbed off.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I will have to keep a few avent for bubs as he is used to them now but hopefully he will be off his bottles soon and will only need cups :-)
I'm using TT closer to nature bottles. Only used the small ones (5oz) so far with the variflow (X) teats and no leaks so far, except for out of baby's mouth because he sooks too excitedly at it sometimes!0 -
I've got the TT CTN ones this time because when I had the twins (now 6) the Avent ones were leaky. The ones I had for DD1 (now almost 8) weren't leaky at all!
Obviously havent had chance to try the TT ones yet.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

TYpical they try and force you to appointments you dont want then completely ignore you for the one that you actually do want!
Turning over in bed is becoming a painstaking event here to the noises i make whilst doing it could wake the dead.
