  • Tommee Tippee is having a sale so the monitor that is usually £109 is only £73. I'm very tempted but it still seems expensive - what does everyone think? http://www.tommeetippee.co.uk/product/suresound_ultimate_monitor/
Also, if you register you get 20% BUT I have just discovered you can't use it on sale items anyway.

    :o I'm here... sorry:o:p

Yesterday I sorted out all of baby's bits and I managed a little trip to the seaside (only 2 miles away:rotfl:)for fish and chips and spent a few 2p's in the amusements:D I was really happy that I was able to do it although I struggled walking back to the car:o

It was DS's last day of school before hols so it was quite possibly our last "child free" day if bubs arrives during the school hols:eek: Well he/she had better make an appearance as due date is the day DS goes back to school!!:rotfl:

I managed to waddle down to very small local Boots this morning and got a few baby bargains:T I really wish I was feeling well enough to go to bigger Boots... oh and Next for some more bargains!

Take it easy with the flying cougette;)

Look forward to hearing some news soon PP:p:D

:eek: DH and I were just discussing over our bacon rolls in the greasy spoon how he is putting his foot down as far as visitors are concerned.

I keep thinking that too about Next but in reality it wouldn't really be bargains as i don't need the stuff! I love the 2p machines!

I picked up some floradix whilst out as my hb came back a bit on the low side and dr said if feeling tired get some over the counter iron. Bloomin expensive though!

Done some cleaning and DH has done some and got the horrid stickers that were all over the baby's wardrobe off. Horrid chemical stuff he had to use to get them off though - melted the rubber gloves! Got all the windows open now and the door to that room shut!

Also had a phone call and an email from Sainsbury's and a £20 voucher, they said driver was completely out of order, their policy is to bring the shopping to the kitchen if requested and even if it wasn't policy they would expect it for anyone who is pregnant!

Now to persuade DH to let me use the voucher as he wants to boycott them!

DH is now doing the budget as we've had confirmation of my mat pay, so I am fully expecting a moaning session about how hard up we'll be...

Tinks my mamas and papas pram is similar to that one. It's fairly old but still works fine. The only problem with it is because the wheels don't turn it can be a pain to push unlike newer prams. Normally I won't be fussed but getting into DD school is going to be awkward with it. However if I could manage it for the first 6 months I have a stroller and wouldn't need a new pushchair at all.

Pigpen both the others have been good sleepers so this one had better be too, seriously don't know how people cope with little ones that don't sleep.

My second didn't sleep until she was 6 months... sleep would interfere with her screaming.. you don't cope you fall to pieces after a few weeks!!

My third started waking about 3am until about 6 when he was about 2.. by which point I had DD2 as well who was angelic!!

DD3 would only sleep in my bed.. until she was about 6..

Rach.. why would you ask permission? Go spend it on stuff for the baby if you have too.. and boycott them afterwards.. it is free money you don't throw it away!

lol pigpen I was only joking! He is still boycotting them though, but yes I will spend it, not sure if it's a grocery only one or other stuff too. Alternatively we thought we might order 40 bottles of pop and ask them to bring them upstairs!

DH has done the budget and looks like we'll be fine, will have to stick to budget but that's fine...a few less M&S dinners perhaps and greasy spoon rather than starbucks for lunch out!

Have done some cleaning, no other plans really so might read for a bit. we STILL don't have a boys name, spent a while looking again last night and still no closer!

I will hopefully be going aqua natal on thurs with kmckee999 (if I survive the labour ward on weds:eek:) and don't have a swimming costume soooo I popped to a very local shop that sells them knowing full well they wouldn't have maternity and tried on a few bigger sized tankinis hoping 1 might fit nicely.

I'm usually a size 12/14... and have bought a size 18!:rotfl:It fits really well and I now don't have to faff about looking for a maternity one. Mothercare is really crap here and there isn't anywhere else and saves getting a wrong size from online.

I just hope I'm well enough to go aqua natal and bubs doesn't make an early appearance!!

EDIT: I'm glad you got some compensation from Sainsburys Rach :)

  • aww Courgette I hope you're feeling better. I've been feeling a bit like that recently as DH has been pretty grumpy (think it's cos it's nearly the end of term, combined with just all the feelings of anticipation/fear etc. about the baby). I sometimes forget that he does have a lot on his plate, but then I do too. I think it's a really hard time because you're both in need of TLC, reassurance, encouragement etc., and then you both run out and end up just annoying each other. And i just really think they don't get it when it comes to stuff with the house! i too want "everything in its right place" when bubs arrives. I'm sure once you finish work you will feel better, hopefully baby will hold on for a bit so you can get a good rest. Glad your family seems to have bucked their ideas up today :)

Well one of the girls in my NCT group had her baby a week early yesterday, am hoping mine is paying attention...

we're just doing chores today, the weather is mental and keeps being really sunny and then tipping it down, so staying inside! We're having our youth group over for a BBQ tomorrow lunch so hoping it brightens up a bit.

Bless DH he spent the entire morning doing tons of horrible chores including scraping all the mouldy sealant off the bathroom and re-doing it, fixing lights and filling in broken plaster in the nursery! aww.

Smartie glad you managed to get some swimwear, i'm pretty impressed with my Mothercare tankini but it was not very MSE!!

went to DH's work bash last night and actually managed to dance for a couple of songs :T must have looked pretty ridiculous though! :rotfl:
