tinkwings hugs, the coughing sounds horrid!

I've just ordered the footmuff for my pushchair (maclaren xt), £35 incl delivery as I found a £5 off code at kiddicare, plus 4% cashback so almost as good as the boots price which is out of stock. I seem to be itching to spend money this weekend!

All we now need is a carseat (really hoping to borrow an infant carrier and then in laws will buy us a bigger one in a few months) and the cot mattress, a changing mat and a few more muslins & nappy wraps. :D Plus I need some blackout linings for the curtains!

Still bleeding.. and in pain.. but nothing else appears to be moving anywhere.. so.. I am going to go wash the nest and have a shower and see where we are at later.. the worst part is not knowing where the blood is from.. if it is the cervix it is fine..

    Baby still wriggly though..

I'm going to forage for cocopops and see how things are after a shower.. and sorting the cot.. and rechecking the hospital bags for the 90th time lol It is looking likely babs will be here in the next 48 hours though.

Good luck, I hope all goes well and that baby doesn't need to much help so you don't have to stay too long!

LOL.. I'm not staying long anyway.. the second my legs stop being wobbly we're out of there..

stomach filled.. so I am gulping gaviscon (because no doubt leaning over the bath I will need it!) and going for a scrub.. so if this does result in spawning I will at least be defuzzed and not smelling like a bear!!!

It takes heck of a lot to unruffle me.. I am the best person to have in an emergency.. unless it requirs sympathy.. I don't stock that!

Hope everything goes ok Pigpen *hugs* we will all be thinking about you today :)

My OH decided to poke and prod my belly last night before we went to bed, bubs kept kicking and punching and carried on until early hours, it was like he/she was looking for my OH! Bit of a nightmare trying to sleep though with all that going on in my belly, there were some bizarre shapes being formed, had to keep getting up and going on my gym ball as my back was agony.

Little monster was kicking OH's hand last night bless her.

He did say she's probably feeling freezing cold all the time because of all the ice I eat!

Didn't do DD1 any harm, and I ate twice as much with her :rotfl:

    Morning all

Good luck Pigpen if this is it, and hope you work out where the blood is from if it isn't

I too had an awful night's sleep. Got lots done yesterday, rearranged the living room and gave it a good clean, chucked some of DH's carp out of the baby's room (let's see if he actually notices), my brother and sister took me to B&Q to price up wood as my brother is gonna build us a bike shed, moved a bookcase out of the baby's room and put a bag together to take to the charity shop. I then ended the day with a proper stand up shouting slanging match with DS (aged 12) and got so wound up I couldn't sleep. I suppose it's the clash of two hormonal people but they way he speaks to me is disgusting, his hygiene habits are disgusting (I did an experiment recently to see how long he would go without a shower if I didn't nag him to have one - I caved in after 2 weeks). Think this might need a whole different thread actually.

Anyhoo, very tired today. I need to do a very small top up food shop so we've got something in for tea and I want to sort some random bags of carp that this house seems to be full of

Rach when I had the joy that is DS there was no mention of there being a problem with 2nd hand mattresses, then the panic was all about what position they should sleep in. Yes, I know research moves on and things change but I do also think there is a lot of faddishness around what we should and shouldn't do. I've got 2nd hand mattresses in my 2nd hand crib and cot and don't intend on replacing them. I'd have a 2nd hand car seat if I knew where one was coming from but since I don't I'll be buying the £50 version from Argos which has all the safety features the much more expensive ones have
