oh dear, bad day for lots of people! I had a pretty crappy one too, partly just first day back to work blues and a bad journey. Had bloods done on the way home then got off the bus and went to sains to pick up some cash, cashpoint was broken, I nearly cried! Got cashback then realised the chippy is shut on a monday!! So bought oven chips from spar and we have battered fish in the freezer...cheaper and healthier I guess! The man in spar really cheered me up by asking how things were going and predicting it's a girl! Not sure why but it made me smile, one of the worst things for me since moving here is a lack of feeling like part of the community and somehow that kind of thing helps!

clareemily - you should def try and speak to him, though easier said than done I know. I spent much of today wondering how I will manage another 8 weeks at work but I'm determined to as don't want to finish earlier than 36 weeks. I did book my 2 weeks hol though from 5 sept so mat leave won't start straight away :D

sorry...preg brain forgot half of what I was going to say:

sir monster I do the smile and nod, but do my own thing thing too...exactly how I dealt with people's wedding opinions too!

smartie - gutting when you're really looking forward to something and it's not as good the next time!

re touching bumps - I have let other people touch bump but only if I invite them to! No one has tried without me offering thankfully! I let my mum feel it kick last week and yesterday said my friends little boys could feel if it was kicking...funniest thing was their dad who was like, errr, it's creepy...he's a GP!!

Oh, and my consultant? Fit. Seriously. In a very sexy, (not sure that word will get past filter :rotfl: ) suave, confident, re-assuring way.

Why oh why does he have to see my bits and bobs.:doh::doh:

Soooooooo I was telling another mum at pick up about my sexy consultant today.....................:o:o:o

OMG!! Her hubby is a consultant as well (I knew it was not him :D ) and she says "oh, do you mean Mr X, his kids go here too, he was a registrar for my hubby, I'm seeing him at the weekend"

emsy that's classic! :rotfl::rotfl: he's probably used to it if he's that gorgeous!

kitkat - I already have some stretch marks (faded) from losing and gaining weight in the past, dh has some too though around his hips so I'm not to worried. I am loving my sanctuary mum to be oil but as you say they will get you if they're gonna get you!

Now my friend who had 4 babies...a 10lber, a 9lber and twins at 8lb5oz each....now that was stretchmarks!!!

forgot to add as I was ranting so much about rubbish doc surgery

Boots have bodyform sanitary products on BOGOF and the nighttime towels they have are new and have wings 10 in a pack for £1.35 so get 2 packs for that and they are as absorbent as maternity towels and much nicer and the wings keep them in place. I had brought 2 packs maternity towels to take into hospital (hey not bothered about their sheets etc) but brought these for when I come home.

    hi everyone!
Good to hear everyone's rants and moans and embarrasing moments hehe makes me feel normal too.

A quick question, I am 20w today, got my scan next Mon and wondered, do they take bloods at this appointment does anyone know? My veins like to hide so I want to be prepared for it.

Thanks to everyone, you are an amusing bunch
