If it is a boy Krystal I will gladly pop over and dress him in the abundance of baby boy clothes that I am currently surrounded by...it would appear that I am not quite ready to part with Benjamin's newborn stuff yet (the tears are a bit of a giveaway)

So you can have em if I get to share the babba ;)
Of course you can share my babba... Even if it's a girl :D

Sammy, enjoy the last day of your pregnancy :)

I don't think you've missed anything off your list but what I would say is, don't worry about sterilising the bottles if you're planning to try breastfeeding. There should be a lot of support in the hospital so you shouldn't need formula that early on... And if all else fails you can always send DH out for some disposables in an emergency... :)

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Sammy, hope you can relax today.

I am back to work today :( It's raining here but still v warm! Heading out for the bus to the station now, nausea seems to ahve returned at the moment. Bubs has been v quiet yesterday, but still some movement, think it has moved again. I will take a bottle of cold water with ice in for the journey and see if I can wake it up!

Oh I do that if I dont feel bump move too - layign in certain positions on teh sofa usually gets baby going or I scoff a few FAB ice lollies - yes I shamefully said ' a few' but Im pregnant - oh no my last day of using that excuse now!

Sounds realy stupid but before I was pregnant I was on a weight loss plan - not sure if Im allowed to mention the name of the woman founder who is particularly well known with the initials RC. :D but anyway I started it last March and I was 14st 2lbs  (I'm 5'5) and thankfully have a shape as opposed to carrying all in one area but before Xmas I managed to get myself down to 12st 2lbs and was feeling much better for it, then discovered I was pregnant and haven't been near a weighing scale since January. I'm dreading going back near one. But I have found that I'm itching to get back exercising again - the local class I was going to has closed down now - but I cant wait

When is it your allowed to start getting back in shape after a baby?? obviously I'm not going to launch into some celeb mum exercise routine and 'live on a lettuce leaf a day' diet but I'd like to get the ball rolling again.

    Time to find me again

I think you have to give yourself 6 weeks to recover from the birth and then start off slowly...

Sammy - I have discovered that losing weight is not good for me, every time I do it I get pregnant lol. before DD1 I had lost 1.5stone and got to 19st13lbs then got pregnant and ate way to much and got up to 23st5, so I decided to lose weight I am now 20st8lb and pregnant again lol! I am going to try to maintain/lose a little whilst pregnant this time as I felt bleurgh after DD1 and dont want to have to lose another 3stone with 2 LO's to look after.
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
    DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz

  • hi everyone

good luck sammy, hope everything goes well for you :)

i think i've finally hit the "hormonal" phase of pregnancy... i've not really been that up and down since getting pregnant (apart from crying all the time when I was sick) but yesterday i was completely all over the place...

i have a really really really swollen left foot... which even when I get up in the morning is still quite bad - does anyone know if this can actually be a problem or is it just uncomfortable? Def don't have pre-eclampsia or anything... think it's just the heat etc.

also question: if your baby's head doesn't engage does this mean you are really likely to go overdue? my baby seems to be 'on the brim' and keeps bobbing in and out and not properly engaging. i'm trying to do everything i can to get it engaging but i just feel really stressed that i'm going to go 2 weeks over and be induced (esp as MIL has spent entire pregnancy telling me i will go 2 weeks over as she did with all of hers?!)

    help!!

i think it's cos i'm now 37 weeks and m/w and everyone keep saying "could be anytime now" but i just think it could be another FIVE WHOLE WEEKS!! argh.

    DP xxx

Prudence a baby can engage at any time some dont at all until you go into labour it is far more common for baby to engage before labour with your first one though. I shouldnt worry to much just go with the flow he/she wont come out until they are ready there isnt alot you can do about it unfortunately. Try looking at the positive side of being induced at least you would have a deffinate date for when baby will make an appearence but just remeber not all ladies go over their due dates i never have :-)
