hey all hope u are all doing well!!
just back from town bought lots of tops from H&M they were all only about £4 each they arent maternity but they are long-line so they cover bump. also got two pairs of 3/4 length maternity trousers in there reduced to £7 each and they are sooo comfy and they come right over bump, might be worth a look if any of you have store near you.

hey folks,
Hows it going? hope we're all well!
I'm having an off couple of days, saw my reflection in the mirror yesterday and it was not a pretty sight, was clening windows so had an old tshirt on, had my hair scraped back off my face, red eyes and nose due to hayfever and a big spot on my chin, i'm also really pale so ended up in tears cos i looked like a bag of !!!!!! lol
today we went to the supermarket and park and i saw so many heavily pregnant women which just made me feel really jealous and frustrated that i still have sooooo long left
Went to chemist the other day to see if i could get anything for this hayfever as i had read on the net that clarytin was ok but nope she said stay in thats all i can do... thats all i have been doing and i've still got it bad also hip grant is taking longer than i though to come through, anyone else applied recently some people are saying on another sight it took over 5 wks?
sorry for such a big moan from me, ***big Labour vibes for Sammy***

Crazy you never look quite as bad as you think you do so dont worry to much. Ive been taking honey for my hayfever i was recommended it at the health food shop cant remember the name off the top of my head but i know other ladies on here are using it too. For me it helps day to day to keep the syptoms at bay but hasnt really helped with the major full on attacks i get every now and again but something is better than nothing.
With the hip grant it can take ages i was lucky this time round and it only took 8 days from posting the form which was last month. how long ago did you send yours off ?:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Don't worry Tink i'm due around the same time (19th October) and I'm sure it will soon be here.
Been shopping to Ikea today and got a cot mattress and bedding etc so my nursery is looking lovely and bright - also orgnaised all my drawers as they were full of make up, cr~p and clothes...now given a whole set to baby.
Just a question - is anyone graciously accepting 2nd hand baby clothes? I've been given some fab stuff by girls at hubbie's work - going to spend my £190 HIP on some nice new stuff proably jumpers and a snowsuit!
Tink - what preparations have you done so far?
Anyone else due Sept/Oct?0 -

Xmas - i never think i look that great on a good day but yesterday was just a bit worse, think i need a spray tan and a haircut to sort myself will get oh to treat me off next wage, my sil who's just had a baby keeps telling me i look tired everytime i see her but i think that is just my look as everyone always says that to me, its my own fault i don't wear any make up at all and i'm thinking maybe now is the time to start.
Posted hip form on Thursday 1st so not that long ago, but i had heard from loads of people that 8 days was the standard for a while, we're short this month too due to getting the car back after the crash and having to put it straight in for MOT
J-Pink - I know it will come round soon enough, i just like having a whinge lol, its not that long away i've had a really bad back since about 18 weeks so its making it drag as it is everyday and i know it will pass once baby is here.
as for preperation, i bought a set of drawers a while back using shopandscan vouchers (very mse) but it doesn't have much in it yet, i am using the bottom drawer as my hospital drawer and have started stocking up on baby stuff, buying bigger things towards the end of august as i am being made redundant so will have redundancy and oh is due a good wage then plus we won't have nursery fees as DS2 is moving to a council nursery
I haven't been offered much 2nd hand clothes, i got quite alot with ds1 as i was young so with ds2 pretty much everything was bought new - just cos i could, with this one we have lots of ds2 stuff but would feel strange using it as it was his not that long ago so think i'll sell it and use money to buy new... think it is fine to accept though i've been given some amazing stuff in the past, we may be getting a few bits from SIL as her baby was born 3 weeks ago adn we have offers of things depending on the sex
Will update what i have in two ticks as this normally deletes my posts it its too big29 year old SAHM to two boys 13 & 5 and a little pink princess >1Wins: £500 for my sons school + goody bag / Cushelle Koala / can of Spam / Crunchy nut mug / £250!! / Blu-ray Home cinema system / mascara / nail varnish / Disney Jnr cinema ticks / Turbo Tango / £10 Asda Voucher0 -
