Good luck Sammy, hope not long left for you.

Hope you are all feeling cooler today - I'm looking forward to the rain tonight and tomorrow.

Busy day yesterday went to see my BIL's family and SIL. Seems like another bubs will be born this year as BIL's wife is due end of Nov, they only found out 5 weeks ago!! Slight prob is they gave us their baby stuff (moses basket, bouncer, baby bath, top and tail bath and baby gym). They have said they don't want it back until their bubs is due as ours can stay in moses basket until 6 weeksish and then we can give it back. Slight worry is what if ours is late/their is early - would you ladies offer anyway to give the stuff back?? Also feel sorry for my SIL who's bubs was due about now and now there will be two little ones this year (though she seemed OK but must be tough).

Need to do some housework and may go for a swim when starts to get hot.

Sir monster if you feel uncomfortable keeping the stuff then give it back to them, looking at the list you have given there are only a couple of items that you would probably have to buy IE: the baby bouncer and the gym. You will more than likely find the bath and the top and tail bowl will get used once or twice then you wont bother (i would get a washing up bowl) and the moses basket is only in use for a few weeks then they go in their cot. With bubs and the other two ive only used the carrycot for a couple of weeks then they were left to sleep on their baby gym mat during the day or put in their cot. :-)

I used my moses baskets for months... about 8-9 usually!!

I used a washing up bowl for a bath too.. and I have a huge belfast sink this one is getting bathed in!!

Most of the stuff will be grabbable from netmums or a carboot.. cheapy cheap..

I'd ask if they wanted it back at least they cannot moan then..

Thanks PP and Xmas, I think I will see how I get on when bubs gets here, as I don't know if they will like being in a bouncer/moses basket etc. I can always get the stuff after a month or so anyway . . (that's what on line shopping is there for!!). Also will keep my eye out on netmums etc if I see a bouncer/gym going cheap then will nab them. Good plan re washing up bowl, will nab one before bubs comes.

Right back to housework, even though its making me sweat buckets (needs lots of breaks) - luckily DH is helping out.

Sammy, that sounds what I was like on the Monday and Tuesday of the week I had my LO, only my pains were more severe in my lower stomach, hips and pubic bone. Going to the loo was also really painful - it seemed to set off more contractions. If it's any consolation, mine was a first and was here by the Thursday morning! Sending you lots of vibes - sounds as though you could do with them! Get yourself lots of rest and food, you'll need it over the next few days. My labour ward suggested lucozade if you can take it to bump your sugar levels up.

    Hello all

well did boot sale went well made £70!!!! travel system sold for £20 had it for £30 til 10.30am and then reduced it to ~£20 loads of people saying £30 was good deal but were not looking themselves. Came back with hardly anything and went with a car load. It was packed they had to extended stall area into the car parking fields, glad we went for 6.15am (opens at 5.30am) as we got a good pitch.

Hello all. Hope your well. Sounds like everyone is getting fed up! *LOADS LABOUR VIBES* to Sammy and *cold weather vibes* to Pigpen!

Well I went on my long car journey yest; 4 hours there and 4 hours back and I lived to tell the tale! I had to have a few stops to go to loo but otherwise was quite happy. The journey back seemed very long though and when we got home my right foot looked like a monster foot as it seriously was HUGE! Its still not right now, but better. Today I am suffering; we got in 12.30 last night and I kept having to get up through night with terrible cramp/ needing loo/ headache/ feeling carp. Bubs has also shifted its torso from my right side to my left, head is still down but it does feel very awkward with it moving as its been on my right side for about 10 weeks now. Hopefully it's just getting itself ready for eviction!! Had braxton hicks very severe yesterday, really felt like it was going to turn into real contractions as I have never had it so severe before.

Yesterday I held a baby for the first time EVER! A 3 month old little man and he was the sweetest, happiest little baby I've seen, hoping this one is the same! He whimpered when I first held him as it was weird me getting used to it but I soon was playing with him and loving it :) cant wait for mine now!! Did feel a little weird as his mum and dad were wonderful with him, it kept making me think will I be any good? So the 2nd time I ever hold a baby will be me holding my baby.. oh dear maybe I should have got some more experience!!!

    Hi all

sir monster I'd be tempted to keep my eyes open for e.g. a moses basket cheap as I think I'm right in saying you have all the covers etc and a new mattress? I'll let you know if I see anything on netmums too.

hope this is it for sammy

been to church, then lunch out at neros and then helped DH with a bit of cleaning. Now going for a snooze before we go to in laws for a roast (why in this weather?!) in an hour!

Rach yes I do have sheets and a matress, although it is a small matress. The ILs said that we could have the moses basket for a few weeks as ours is due mid sept and theirs is due end of Nov so we should be ok but if you see a bargain then that would be great - not going to get a new one!

it is so much nicer here today, there is a lovely breeze so it is not so suffocating.. so I have moaned much less.. lol and tomorrow has been predicted to have a few small showers so that would be nice.. :D

I MUST get the cot emptied this week as it is full of baby stuff.. but looking round my entire room is full of baby stuff lol.. I need to recheck hospital bags.. and make sure everthing is in there.. charge camera.. it holds its charge really well so should be ok.. ooh I have a bump pic for you later.. needs uploading from camera and I can't be bothered right now.
