Pigpen - may be ridiculous but could they fit in the bath with you? Not all at once obviously!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
-
Pigpen, not sure of your bathroom setup, but with DD I had to bring my stool into the bathroom, and I shuffle her onto my knee and dunk her over the edge, then I sit on the stool and scrub her, then when we are done DH lifts her out.
Would your OH feel comfy bathing them if they kept their swim suits on, they could make a game of it playing divers and take some shells in with them or something???0 -
Bexta: I think they let you change when you get there (I hope!) I've just found a tshirt of OHs that is black and the event it advertises is 4 years old so that's perfect, I did buy a £2.50 nightie but I've decided it's way too good to throw away after. I also bought a cheap thin dressing gown which I cannot stop wearing! It's perfect when you've got out of shower in this heat!0

I have never felt the need to throw away nighties I have given birth in.. a quick wash and they are fine!!.. Just don't leave them to dry too long! I think 3 days is the longest one of mine has been left.
I have asked OH to lift them in and out of the bath.. they will have to stand to be scrubbed and if I can't manage DD1 will be roped in.. I forgot I had her!! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I don't fit in the bath!!!
It is an original roll top bath and it is very short and narrow but high..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Yay for sorting the bath out PP.
The only nightie i had to throw away was the first one i used due to me bleeding so heavily and it being white other than that they have only needed a quick wash. Ive always gone into hospital in what i am going to be labouring in i really couldnt be bothered with changing whilst going through contractions all i had to do once there was remove my bottoms. Ive always laboured in mens white cottom shirts as well apart from last one where they insisted i remove it and put there awfull gown on i was not pleased at all. I find them light enough to stay cool but warm enough if i got cold they button up and down so good for breast feeding as well and they come in lovely large sizes to fit all bumps ;-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

8 more weeks and I'm bricking it. lol. I remember that i was a wuss in labour (Luckily it was quick).
How did you not be so scared that you opted for a sunroof delivery? :rotfl:What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
LOL It feels scarily close to me too. We went on a walk today omg I almost died, gave OH loads of stick for walking too fast
he had to take DSD and her mum home and wouldn't have been back before the kids got home from their Dad's mum so I went to bed for almost three hours
Well we're going to be decorating soon, last time the wrong paint got used (not that it was hugely different thankfully!) so I think I'll get the colours I want and label the tins with 'living room' 'hallway' etc in case the likely happens and we fall out over it and I end up with my mum or in bed when it gets done:rotfl:
This heat is really taking it out of me, plus we must have walked 5 miles today and my legs have turned to jelly! I saw a tip in the arms (in a Tinktinkinkerbell thread of all places!) that you should keep cool by running your wrists under the cold tap. I don't know if that will help any of you?Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
