Rach.. I have 4 fitted basket sheets (I put a muslin at the top to absorb dribbles etc), 4 flat for swaddling and as a light cover when out in the hotness in the pushchair (I peg them to the hood as well to create shade if I need to).. I don't have a parasol/suncanopy as I ALWAYS kill people with them/break them and parasols are useless and never shade the baby and I have 6 fitted cotbed sheets.. I will be using these a LOT longer so a couple more are vital.. esp if the cats sneak their furry selves in there while exhibiting the need to be beaten!

Rose.. I have had Angelcare monitors for my youngest 4 and this one has one too... saved mines lives on a few occasions! before that I just had a cheapy bog standard sound only one.. which picked up several phantom babies too!

No prob redrose! Other bits we have that aren't on there are things like a playmat and playgym but I've just picked these up mainly as freebies along the way when buying other stuff from people! The gym is one of the only new things we have (apart from the pushchair) I think it was in the TK maxx online sale and I was only about 8 weeks gone but got it as my first thing!

Thanks Pigpen, I will get some soon (hopefully in a sale somewhere) though there's no urgency as the baby won't be in the cotbed for a while but I'd rather spend the money now when we have it!

lol@the parasol - when we looked at pushchairs one had an attached parasol and dh said 'does the umbrella thing come off, I don't like it!'.

DH's mate has just turned up and I hear the sound of beer bottles, though dh is not drinking at the moment (bet he gives in though)

I haven't bought any toys at all, our old ones are all chairty shopped/ebayed.. The chair has some dangly things on and I got a little thing to put away for christmas and some freebie bears.. but that is all.. I want to get the learn and groove for christmas and am asking everyone else to buy clothes or give gift vouchers as we have pretty much everything we need until maybe next Easter..

they are happy enough with a crisp packet and a sock anyway!

Lol pigpen at parasols! Think I will use a pegged sheet like you, I am pretty dangerous with an umbrella when it's raining nevermind one attached to a pram!

Rose: look out for special offers on the angelcare, I got mine from Tesco, it had £10 off and I had a further £10 off code so it was £58 delivered, that was my spending limit on a monitor! It isn't on offer there atm but I'll keep an eye out.

Really need to check my list, I am sure we're nearly there! Just need a sling but that can wait atm. Oh and we need the baby :)

We actually discussed names last night, OH suggested some weird ones, what is wrong with these men!

Rach: ooh I love lists too! My OH hates my organisation!

I've just got 2 playmats, both free, a Galt Play nest for £5as I remember my Godsons loving theirs- though I have just seen a place online with one with a gym over the top for £15 which I may splash out on then this one can go to the in laws! Then the little gym. I've also bought a cute little hanging thing for the cot which was £3.50 in mothercare sale and ordered some linky bits for the pushchair.

Mine were always too floppy for the playnest.. they never held themselves upright or held their head well and by the time they did they were crawling or walking so weren't interested in being stuff in a hoop and would climb out. Tiddles used to bounce herself out of the bumbo too..

Toys wise, i seem to have quite a few! I have the free ones, 2 from ikea, next bear and mothercare chime bear my sis bought, vtech singing caterpillar, singing alfie (I hate this already!), chime M&P bunny and a small silvercross owl. All have been bought for me or free with vouchers, I am planning on keeping some as Xmas presents. I have also got 2 play gyms and 2 mobiles, might keep extras at my parents house save lugging stuff house to house!

    One spoilt baby :)

    Not amused.

Sat watching the England game and getting very stressed - think I need to relieve some pregnancy tension at the bleeding referee - needs his bloody eyes testing!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Slight bit of booing going on there me thinks.

Hope they look at it in half time and decide to award it! :D

Hoping the stress and excitement of the match doesn't make me pop but me and Benji (my 6 year old) are enjoying it - thank god next one is a girlie - one football mad child is enough.

Just suddenly thought that's one things I haven't brought bub any toys yet!:o
    Time to find me again

Wish I hadn't watched the England match, what a joke!

Just eaten a gorgeous roast dinner :) cooked by OH. It was beautiful! I am sure I've gained a stone this weekend i've pigged out so much! For breakfast I had nesquik, strawberries and cream, and a pack of jaffa cakes! Hurrendous! Baby is kicking me like hell!

Just remembered another toy I've got: a gloworm! I had one as a baby so it was a must :)
