morning all
Didn't get to sleep til about 12.30 and have been pretty much awake since 6, so in the end thought I may as well get up! Can always have a snooze later I guess.
Thanks for the chafing tips, I'll get some baby powder today and maybe try and get to peacocks I seem to remember they were best for mat leggings?
Bubs has been much more active since I saw the midwife
Now going to go and update my babystuff spreadsheet
bigbird have a fantasic hol - where are you going?Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Quick question... Babs has a mini cot thing too use until she is about 10months old then she will move to her big brothers cot as he wil move to a bed will i need to get a new cot mattress? I know they recommend one for a newborn baby but will she need one at that age ? :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

XMas - no expert I thought it wasn't necessary to buy a new mattress when in the same family. Don't think I'd worry at that age, but check it out. Interestingly, friend who is a GP told me there's no medical evidence for needing new mattresses anyway!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Rach - there is a cream called Lanacane which is an anti chaffing gel - think its in boots - its about a £5er though. It stops chaffing and aids healing from it though. Meant to be good.
EDITED TO ADD --- you can get it in Tesco too.
Sure if you looked about you might find it cheaper in super drug or something though. - possibly even in Home Bargains!
Will have a look when I'm in town later - and report back in case its of use to someone else xTime to find me again0 -
morning ladies, hope we're all well. There's a lot of people about for such an early hour!
Well, I'm sat here in my swimming costume - I had the plan to go swimming really early but have realised the baths don't open til 9.30 so I'll sit here and chat to you lot in my cozzy instead! I have a very front bump this time (with DS I just spread, Jabba the Hut style :rotfl:) so I'm quite enjoying it really (think hubby might be too
) Updating soon...0 -
Thanks Sammy, if i go to the place with peacocks they have superdrug, boots and wilkos so I can look
Any advice on where to get cellular blankets? John Lewis clearance have lemon (which I want) ones for £3 for a pram size and £6 for cotbed size, This seems pretty good to me but how should I know! Also how many would you get? I am wondering if 2 of each is about right (bearing in mind baby due early oct and that I have sleeping bags). I have one fleece blanket so far.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

That sounds pretty good to me - I got 2 for £6 pram sized from Asda. I've got two and will probably buy one of these fleecy ones from Ikea but mine's an August babe. Don't forget they'll have a babygro on and a vest and socks if neededUpdating soon...0
