    Thanks Bexta!!

In baby bag I have put- 3 sleepsuits, 3 vests, a cardi, a blanket, a hat, most of a pack of nappies, cotton wool, nappy bags, 2 muslins, and a baby brush.

I was going to leave the warmer clothes out as it has been so ridiculously hot, but then last saturday was really rainy and cold here, so I changed my mind and put them in.

I'm still hoping to have a homebirth anyway so it is just an 'emergency bag' anyway, however we live really close to the hospital (5 min walk) so anything else I need I can send someone out for. I agree with the 24 hour shopping theory too, someone can always pick up anything you find a need for.

Sammy- sounds like you are getting very close then! Hope bubba makes an appearance for you asap. I have been bouncing on my ball all evening so far, rubbed a whole load of clary sage into my bump (I stink of the stuff now!) and also been doing star jumps- bet that was an attractive sight! I waited for DH to go out :D

    Hello,

On the age thing, My mum was 18 when I was born, she is now 42. My youngest sibling (from her) is 5. lol.

I popped into mothercare today as I was walking past and .....WOW...
going to have to stay away from there for a while, although I noticed some cheap maternity clothes in the sale. Shame its too early for me to get some. Plus got a quick peek at a pushchair I really like, looks even nicer in the flesh. Was thinking if I look now I can get what I want in Jan sales.

Feel gross today, comes in waves but Im getting used to it now.
I have my first Midwifes appt on Sunday so getting excited/nervous about that.

Does anyone know where I can get Bio-Oil cheap or can you recommend anything different for stretch marks? thanks

Stay put vibes for those that want them and Hurry Up vibes to the ones that want mummy cuddles.:j

Ahhh I feel so sleepy! Listened to my hypnobirthing CD tonight and fell asleep half way through- I am sure that isn't a good sign! And even worse the fact this is the 3rd time I have done it

Poor OH is 'dying' from hayfever, he has had to go to bed and has been asleep since 6pm! Really wish he would get up, I'm lonely!

My hospital bag is packed!! Woo! Well all appart from my camera and ipod, as I am still using them. I decided to swap my shampoo and conditioner for some batiste dry shampoo, tested it tonight on my hair and it actually worked pretty good! I know its not essential but I bet I will wana wash my hair and I cannot stand washing my hair in hospitals

Hope everyone is happy and well on this scorching friday evening!

Oooh! Can't remember who it was that said they bought the 2 pack of nursing nightdresses from mothercare in the half price sale? Thank you!! I relented and went back for them. I love them, have been wearing them constantly since I bought them as they are so soft and comfy. They didn't have my size so bought a 14 (instead of 16-18) but figured they looked stretchy, and they come up massive so even the 14 is slightly big on me now, never mind once my bump has gone.

I feel fine again now, gotta love the mood swings! Been bouncing on my ball still but my legs ache now so gotta have a little rest :D had a little cry and feel much better for it, think I just overthink everything and I hate feeling like I'm being told what to do, put's me on the defensive straight away, just gonna deal with induction issue come Wed if bubs still isn't here.

Vibes of all kinds to thems that need them, and I'm off to try and find something to watch on iplayer/ 4OD, distract me for a while until I feel tired.

kitkat.. it is a good sign the hypno CD thing makes you sleep.. it shows it is working because you are relaxed!!! My bag is packed except for all the stuff I am still using..

I have the mothercare nighties too.. had to go buy a bigger size in the sale though as my boobs don't fit in the normal sized ones!!! I was very very naughty today though and bought a pair of loose black trousers for my fat self.. I am boiling as all I have that fit now are 1 pairs of black leggings that look atrocious on my short fat self and 2 pair cropped jeans.. which boil my .. legs... Tops I am ok for but i have been desperate for trousers for weeks...

Which reminds me.. in very.co.uk they had some maternity cropped trousers reduced to £7 and some maxi dresses dirt cheap.. totally not my thing maxi dresses.. but I did look and was tempted.. but is it worth it when the chances are sproggit will be here in less than 4 weeks?

I suppose I didn't think of it like that Pigpen!

I have the same idea as you; is it really worth buying any more clothes with only 6-7 weeks to go?! I find I can still fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans/ tops/ etc sometimes, and then other days I cant even do up a zip! Lol. Got one pair of maternity jeans that are soo comfy, since OH told me they made my bum look huge in them I have been a little put off! Lol!

Just wish I could wear a sports bra and knickers to work as that is all I feel comfy in these days!!

I also cannot work out how my chest measurement is getting so so big, my cup size is staying the same atm, but I have 2 extenders on today and its getting tight now :( whats happening!!!!

Kitkat as you baby grows but before s/he drops they run out of room and start forcuce your ribs apart, your back size will drop again as your bump moves lower. I found the vest tops with built in support for the final few weeks more comfortable as back size seemed to literally change with positing of baby.

Labour vibes for all that need them.

Pigpen - This isn't your first baby is it?? Can you tell me when you needed maternity clothes, my normal jeans and cropped trousers are starting to cut in to me, I grudge buying a larger size if i will be needing maternity stuff soon. With my 2nd baby I still had my mat clothes from the firast and it was winter so i think i just hid in mat jeans and jumpers but this time its a bit more difficult.

About 5 weeks!! I only did the test because my jeans were too tight at 4 weeks!! I get massive very quickly!

And I absolutely HATE the tops with 'built in' support.. I think they are incredibly uncomfy and with larger boobs they just don't provide any support.
