I am shattered but still a bit full of chinese takeaway to sleep! There finally seems to be a bit of a breeze here so may get some sleep!

Does anyone else have chafing between the legs? Mine is at the top and is awful :( I've just put on some of the nappy cream I bought for the baby to see if it helps. Seem to literally be melting in the heat!

rach.. try leggings under floppy tops.. the chafing is just down to having cuddly thighs lol.. nappy cream works well.. but keeping it dry in the first place is better.. You now know why I don't have dresses!!

Ive had that since I was tiny Rach. Im quite slim, but short and muscular and my thighs have always rubbed together despite not having in ounce of fat on them (so modest I know). Nothing I have ever found helps, other than wearing leggins or trousers or tights. Shorts and skirts have always been a neddy no-no in hot weather. Boohoo.

I know a few people on here know how old I am but I always find it counts against you in this sort of environment. Oldies seem to think they know best! Although my mother had babies at 23, 34 and 44. I was the last :D

I've always had it too...short fat legs! But this is worse than ever! I was wearing light combat type trousers, I don't have any leggings but might need some!

ont-the-edge, do u have a Gordons chemist or Superdrug near where you live they always seem to have offers on bio oil. ive been using it as and when i remember and havent had any stretch marks yet(im 27weeks and bump is expanding daily lol) although i have been told that if your going to get stretch marks you will, you cant really prevent them, its all down to your skin elasticity? well i dont know how stretchy my skin is so im using the bio oil anyway. oh and the bottles come in different sizes, the smallest one should do you as you dont need much its very very oily and spreads easily. hope this helps

oh found this its £4.69 here http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/bio-oil_v_649.html

    Well, here's a time of day I don't see too often... :p

Off on holiday later this morning and I'm too excited to sleep! :j Since I've had less than 4 hours so far, I'll probably need a nap when we get there. Hey ho. This will be the first "proper" holiday DH and I will have had together since we met 5 years ago. Every other summer, something's got in the way, like moving house or getting married. And the last time we tried to book a holiday it ended up being cancelled as I developed a blood clot in my leg and was advised not to fly. So I'll be making the most of this one!

So, labour vibes to all who need them. Stay put vibes to those that really don't want the labour vibes :p And I hope I come back in a week to a few more healthy babies and happy mummies :D

Urgh! what an unsavoury hour of the morning this is - wish i was up early because I was doing something exciting but the urge to pee and heartburn won the battle this morning and there's no way I can get back to sleep when its this light! My own fault with the heartburn though - I gave in a and had a small diet pepsi last night with a takeaway - suffering this morning though and felt really sick last night after it. Back to my healthy iron rich diet this morning though...... although did read of people having iron levels or 4/5 yesterday and giving birth so 8 seems alright at the minute.

Gena - oh don't worry chick I wont be living on the stuff - was going to go in to Holland and Barrett and see if they have proper liquorice and have a little bit now and then as a treat but am not a major fan of the stuff it was just purely another iron rich thing to eat.

Bexta - in babes hospital bag I had 3 baby grows (pink, purple, white) all with matching colour coordinated socks! a little pink legging and top outfit, a sleep suit and the first thing Owen brought her which is a little dress for her to come home in. A blanket which Ben brought her. Nappies, Cotton Wool, and a new hooded Towel set for her.

Have just suddenly realised I don think I have put any pants in my hospital bag or a coming home outfit for me!:eek::eek: think an emergency rechceck is going to be needed before I go to town today - I know my toiletries bag is done - I have my flannel, toothpaste, sponge, toothbrush, hair bands, and I want a travel size bottle of baby shampoo too - I can only use this because of allergies so I can have a decent wash when Im in the hospital!
    Time to find me again

Sammy i wouldnt buy a bottle of baby shampoo you always get a little travel one in your bounty pack after the birth i used it when i went in last time and i ahve saved it incase i need it again this time fingers crossed i wont.

Rach i have seen an advert for something thats specificallt designed to stop chaffing i cant remember what its called but your chemist should know other than that i think baby powder is one of the best things you can use :-)

I feel really groggy again this morning i seem to be sleeping really heavily lately im not complaining about the sleep its lovely i just wished i felt a little more refreshed when i woke up :-)
