We have got the aptimal polar bear, cow and gate cow, and 2 toys from ikea that were really cheap, but i like the firefly!!
I've got asthma and hayfever as well (I like to have lots of diseases - it keeps life interesting:p) but it hasn't been too bad. The firefly is the only "expensive" (although it is reduced;)) toy we've bought.kitkat5566 wrote: »My peacocks doesnt do maternity either, and if i drive to the bigger town (about 30 miles) the M&S only does maternity bras, and only baby clothes for girls, Next dont do maternity (only online) and New Look dont do maternity (only online). Snap! It's a right pain clothes shopping:(Leopardlady wrote: »just a quick note on nuts, spoke to dr and mw about this as i have asthma, and the advice is now that all nuts are safe in moderation, even if you have allergies ( not to nuts!). There is apparently no evidence that avoiding nuts stops bubs getting nut allergy!
Hope this helps, back to the under 12 week thread now
I've been nibbling all nuts and have allergies (obviously not to nuts;))
Grrrrr old ladies:mad: Went to pick up my prescription, went to sit down on the one and only chair and stupid lady sat down. Lady behind counter said "can I help you" to her and she said no... she was just sitting there!! There are plenty of seats around town for her to plonk her bum down! If I had the energy I would of said I was a customer and I need the chair but I stood next to her rubbing bump, holding the side, looking awful (you know - "helpless PG lady";)) I wouldn't of minded if she was waiting for a prescription!! If I had to wait any longer I would of said something.
*rant over*
I'm sooo struggling about what website to get some bottoms from! Off to look at the non PG bottoms on peacocks site:)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Smartie - huge hugs for you.
My mat clothes are definitely too small now. Even the extra long t-shirts don't cover the bump anymore. And I do hate showing my pants. I actually wore jim jam bottoms to a garden party at the weekend . Nobody noticed. Thank you Peacocks.
OH had such a problem with getting me things last night. I was sooo thirsty and after the third glass of water he offered me the hosepipe instead. It's this diabetes thing I'm sure. He has done nothing for me this pregnancy. I had a craving once (you know, the late evening need a gherkin type thing), just once and I got told to get over it. The corner shop is well, just round the corner too.
I was in a foul mood this morning. The house is disgusting and I can't manage. But I'm on my own, so much so that I had to get a woman in to help. She came this afternoon and moaned about how messy it was. Well, thank you for stating the obvious, if it was tidy and clean then I wouldn't need you . Five days left to get some space ready for the baby. Aargghhh.:wall:0 -
Agutka your OH sounds like my ex he just didnt want to know whilst i was pregnant how ever i have to admit he turned into a wonderfull dad once the baby arrived. New OH is totally different though he cant do enough for me :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

He's always being compared to people'e EXes . Makes me feel very secure in my relationship :rotfl:. OH turned into a terrible dad when ds was born. Everyone was diagnosing him with pnd! He got over it when ds turned interesting. Now they can't get enough of each other. Sort of...
It makes me worried when he does things like write holiday for the two weeks paternity on the kitchen calendar. Hope he has a nice time, personally I'm planning on "dying" for the next month at least.
Such a happy home here :rotfl::wall:0 -
Mermaid, wonderweb is like an iron on hemming tape that's useful for some fabrics. Wouldn't want to try it on jeans though, but for lighter fabrics it's not bad.
Smartie, I'm totally with you on the old ladies, but I'm wondering what age it is that you get like that? I wasn't brought up to be rude, but sometimes I'd love to be able to just act like a total bee-atch without danger of repurcussions just cos I'm old

Hi all,
Sorry to hear OH is being a pain Agutka,my DH will do whatever I ASK/TELL him to which is what I actually hate......sometimes he can see exactly what needs doing(the same things that need doing EVERY day) and sometimes he can see me struggling to do something or knows full well how knackered I am but he'll be oblivious until I actually get fed up and ask for help and he'll jump up and be like 'sure, let me do it' Grrrrr. I swear it's cos that way he'll feel like he's doing me a favour:mad:
Feeling majorly whacked today, kids seem to be extra demanding or maybe it's just me feeling it more. This is the 1st time I've sat down all day but tomorrow I have nothing planned except rest between dropping kids at school and picking them up :j ( just hoping baby doesn't come tonight cos I need some rest first)
Busy mummy of 4.:j0 -
Awww KitKat - Dont cry hun LOL Although I know exactly what you mean about DH just finding it hilarious. Mine seems to think its really cute at the moment, which is fine when I KNOW I'm just being pregnant, but one day something will set me off and I'll go mental for him being patronising! LOL
But really about sending the stuff, its really fine, plus if I can help someone else out, I'd like to.... we've been really lucky in that my parents have pretty much bought everything for this baby.... if they hadnt I'd be a wreck because we cant afford anything!
And "wunderweb" is basically a tape that you iron into the new hem, it melts, turns to glue and TA DA! Its not great if you need to take your trousers up by a lot coz of weight, but a hem length or two is normally fine.....
I cant even do a button so you're ahead of me!
Having my cup of RLT and for some reason today its vile! I think its because I wanted a normal cup of tea.....
Doesnt help that I've developed a really foul mood...... Im getting annoyed because IL's are coming to stay at our house (albeit for one night) 1st june, and I just dont want them here. Im gonna be huge by then, just waiting to give birth, and his step mum is a right chav and basically borderline stupid..... and DH wants to take them to another city for the day, which is all hills etc, and all I want to do is be left alone. His step mum told him to tell me to give birth before that weekend so they can meet him......
ARGH!
Im in such a mood!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Those who already have little ones....could I please have some advice on playmats?
I got an asda gift card from the girls at work and am thinking of getting a playmat with it
I'm looking at this one, which is the travel mat in the baby event, mainly because we don't have a lot of storage room. What I want to know is do they actually take up less space than a 'proper' one does? and are the worth it? Any experiences welcome

CAFC, your description of OH step-mum made me burst out laughing! You do have my sympathy though. I'd use the hills as an excuse to stay in and cuddle Gordon in peace tbh.
RANT ALERT!
I'm soooo angry with my uncle who's just quit his job. We're very close in age, as he's the youngest of mums siblings, so he's only 37, but he just doesn't want to work. Never mind the fact he has a mortgage, 2 kids and 2 (1 adult) stepdaughters. He's had more time off 'sick' than any other person in the history of our local council - who he used to work for. They're always skint at the best of times so who knows !!!!!! they'll do now. Oh yeah, he's going to make leather bondage gear apparently :mad::mad::mad:

Jus got a message from MIL that she bought Tommy Tippee baby monitor from Mamas and Papas. Should be £50, reduced to £37 and she used £5 card which came with catalogue, so olny payed £32.
Its this one http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-tommee-tippee-deluxe-baby-monitor/872200000/type-i/
