If we go for scans and the waiting room only has a couple of free chairs, DH doesnt sit down so pregnant women can have it when they turn up.....but he does make rather loud comments if other men/companions dont move when all the chairs are full and another pregnant women turns up....

Is true CAFC is some kind of unwritten rule, to be fair to men though I have asked a couple for a seat and always been obliging. Re the waiting room that is bad of the family I would hope if I saw that I would ask them to move so you could get a seat.

Can be difficult though re giving up seats as my boss once offered one to a lady who wasn't preggers!! As scary as it is I think us preggers ladies have to be proactive and ask for a seat otherwise people just stay in their little bubbles.

true but then I like the old school way of doing things, like giving up seats to old people....

ive got the nibbles again but dont know what to have i've had my tea which was chicken breast with jersey mids and loads of broccolie. Might have me some crunchy nut.

My OH always stands if there are pregnant women needing seats in the waiting room i also make sure the kids shift their backsides as well if needed. Some people are just so ignorant it beggers belief.

Kitkat you have a lovely bump had to laugh about the pics of the legs and walls i do that too ;-)

Well I'm just a cheeky moo and will ask someone to move.. though last time I was more comfortable standing so I did. one woman had taken 5 members of her family to the scan too.. silly moo...

I don't take my brood though as it was easter hols when I had the 20week scan I took DD1.. and OH of course.. it seems really odd taking people to hospital visits for me.. I have always gone on my own with all the others.. nice though.. I am glad he is actually interested and wants to come!

Jus got a message from MIL that she bought Tommy Tippee baby monitor from Mamas and Papas. Should be £50, reduced to £37 and she used £5 card which came with catalogue, so olny payed £32.
    Its this one http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-tommee-tippee-deluxe-baby-monitor/872200000/type-i/
Does anyone know if its any good?

I havent got that particular monitor as mine comes with the movement sensor pad ( something that we wanted) .I do like mine and would recommend that brand.

It looks good with the temperature gauge and the price of £32-37 is excellant . Well done MIL !

Long and busy day for me, but only tomorrow to go and then I'm away fri-sat at a hen do and then working from home on Monday. tomorrow is a conference up in town which will be a long day but ok i think. Did our lunchtime walk (which I lead) today and had 23 people - best ever number, and people commented that I'm still able to walk 'fast' which is good.

height - I am only 5ft exactly, so very small. My next mat trousers are the first trousers i've ever had that aren't too long...guess cos of the massive bump band bit which i fold over i can pull them right up!

I hate shopping too and got my mat trousers off ebay. the only place i ever usually buy clothes is sainsburys as I can pick them up with my pint of milk and return them if they don't fit!

smartie - i had wondered where you were. so sorry you've been poorly, look after yourself. xx

right, sleep time for me i think. dh is meant to come in and take the laptop off me (i'm in bed) at 10.15 so he's late!

Morning all, another sunny day here. I'm quite glad I've got the week off as it's been fairly nice so I've just been pottering about, tidying up and walking as much as I can. After this, it's back to work for 7 weeks then maternity leave begins :eek::eek:

Got my 28 week MW appointment today, so the joys of bloods and anti D to look forward too. At least I now know what to expect from anti D - stings for a minute, but not agony.

What are your plans for the day?

I'm so glad you said that, I read that it was really painful so I've been dreading it, but you've made me feel better! :j
