Bexta, im the same, I havent bought any maternity clothes just wearing my normal clothes with my bump band if needed. Its only really jeans I need it with as I find my jeans seem to keep falling down, but I cant wear a belt as the metal bit digs in when I'm sitting (I work in an office where I am sitting lots!) Otherwise my bump just seems to be like an 'overhang' lol! So its only my tops that seem abit tighter around my belly and chest. Still wearing the same tops also, hoping to get away with that as long as poss as I hate buying clothes (with being short, and slightly curvy) I find clothes shopping a nightmare, and abit depressing!!0

Gill - Sorry I shouldnt have but you made me laugh then. The question is were the cheese scones worth it. With DS2 I often got up in the night just to eat a packet of for almond cakes - oh the guilty pleasure . I too was a greedy batch.
The first one definitey was but sadly the second one wasn't, mainly because I knew I didnt really want/need it and was eating out of sheer greed!
Smartie - Awww we did miss you......that actually explains why it has been so quiet around hereSorry to hear you're poorly, sounds like it would be a good idea to have a bag ready just in case, altho I really hope you won't need it.
Sonee - it's only peanuts that they advise against, and even then it's only if you or OH have other allergies like hayfever. I miss them and my DH is very mean and will often eat peanut butter infront of me.
I got some amazing PJ bottoms from Peacocks. I think they were only £6 and they nice and thin with a bump band (altho they're not maternity?!) There's some pink and navy ones with butterflies on (my peacocks had those the other day) and I've got some blue ones with stars on and plain black ones. The motifs are quite high up so they don't look like PJs and I can quite happily potter down to the shop in them or answer the door without being embarrassed
ETA here's the link for them. Only got the pink on the website but you should find the other colours and styles instore

Midiwfe went really well altho I think she was a bit shocked at how far alongI am. She started off by looking at my 20 week scan notes(??!!) and asking about that, then she noticed my visits page was full and got me a fresh one. I said "hopefully I wont get many more on there" and she looked at my chart and gasped and said "oh no you won't, how exciting!"
She said baby's heartbeat was lovely and regular and she had a good feel to see where he was lying. Got a bit worried when she thought his bum was his head but she decided it was too big! His head is now 2/5 palp which I think means 3/5 engaged? Hopefully that's a good sign that he's heading in the right direction, but wont come tomorrow! I'd like to get to atleast Sunday so that we have a nice little gap inbetween our birthdays lol
I walked to and from the midwife and just debating now whether I have enough energy to go swimming. My knees and calves are feeling a bit sore but if I don't go today I won't be able to make it until Monday as it's too busy at the weekend and thurs and fri are fully booked.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
I have infections, protein in wee, fever, low blood pressure, pulse is too fast... oh and iron levels have shot down. I'm sure there's something else as well:o
Plus I'm very depressed:(
Oh dear, hope you feel better soon. The sun will help with mood so try and get for a bit. Was watching QI last night and apparently THYME has more iron in it than any other plant! Never knew that.sir_monster wrote: »
Forgot to ask earlier has anyone had a red/sore/dry rash on back of their hand? Thought it was the cold a few weeks back but after nice weather bit confused . .
Yes. The back of my hands go almost scaly  if I dont moisturise daily, never had that before! Always keep a lush tube of Soap and Glory's hand cream in my bag.neneromanova wrote: »:shocked::shocked::shocked: All nuts?
Well, rubbish past few days;
1. Whole wall of new front room's plaster came away with wall paper meaning moving day is now a week later!
2. Had massive argument with OH because of his reaction to 1. We made up straight away though but felt very guilty for putting stress on bubs.
3. Lost my debit card for half a day but only realised when I was in Asda, about to pay for all my baby event goodies. :undecided Was more stressed about where it had gone before being embarrased. Had to nip home whilst they saved my shopping and get money of hubby. (Card had slipped out of purse and was in between diary pages) :embarasse
4. Work is rubbish. Too much to do, big hoo-haa about certain staff being uncooperative, etc. You would really think that people had souls!
Have been trying to look on the bright side of things but that only happens the minute I escape through those doors after work!4 mins to go :j

Yes I know how you feel KitKat as even though near lots of shopping areas none of high street stores do maternity near me, so end up having to order on line. I must confess I tend to get them from shops I can easily return to or those that do free returns (like dotty p). Otherwise I have a bad habit of buying things, not really being suitable and then not returning them - not good moneysaving.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Hello All
Had an exam today part of my masters which I am doing very slowly over 5yrs!! Had an hr and bit drive to uni traffic was fine just my painful hip and leg was a nightmare then had a 2hr exam luckily was 30mins early so could wander around til had to sit down for 2hrs.
Popped into asda on way home, only got a bib in george sale not alot baby stuff. Baby event was rubbish, the box of pampers sensitive wipes is £1 more than last time so out of principle didnt buy it!! The johnsons box is a white one and not the same as the normal purple one (which was still £20) and it had 8 items in which are often on offer for £1 each anyway and didnt need the box so didnt buy that either!!
I am sure the event is great if there is something you need I was probably just a grumpy moo after driving so much, an exam and pain!
Asda do have 4 for £3 on all their frozen £1 foods and there is a huge range.
got hairdresser coming at 3.30pm she only charges £10 I wash it before she arrives.0 -
aw smartie that's rubbish, hope things get better soon
CAFC - wunderweb??? what's this? I can't sew anything can barely put a button back on lol but having midget legs could really do with being able to take up trousers0 -
just a quick note on nuts, spoke to dr and mw about this as i have asthma, and the advice is now that all nuts are safe in moderation, even if you have allergies ( not to nuts!). There is apparently no evidence that avoiding nuts stops bubs getting nut allergy!
Hope this helps, back to the under 12 week thread nowLeopardlady

I got the Johnsons wipes, 2 sleeping suits, a couple of blankets, a towel and mit, a spare changing mat and the tommee tippee starter bottle set for 30 squids. I thought this was a great price! Love the bottle that helps to wean from breast to milk. I think there were 6 bottles in the set which is a good price- especially if you dont know how the b/f situation is going to go.
