Hazzie - hugs and thinking of you and yours chick - what awful news and especially with bubs being due. huge stay put vibes until your sorted.

bump is still staying put here and I'm miserable - swollen feet and ankles, back ache and I can really feel her in my pelvis but have always said i think around these dates would be the time. She is wriggling but it is all very low like at my hips with the occassional bigger kick and the other thing is my um.......'underneath' :o feels as if i have been on a long bike ride and its bruised/sore/tender etc. Wondering if this is a good sign??? not to mention Im very windy at the minute too.

Fingers crossed she wont be much longer and I had my first.......'oh carp shes got to come out some how now' moment yesterday. :rotfl:

Hazzie - STAY PUT vibes to you, and massive hugs to your OH and yourself. What an awful thing to happen, take care.

Pigpen, I mentioned you to OH last night, and he says he's not surprised you want nothing to do with Hull. Him and ex lived over there when their son was born, and they went through to Beverley to have him, because it had a bad rep even then (lad's 19 now)

Tanmu & Pukka; you think it goes quick to 20 weeks... I feel like the past 32 weeks have flown by! I cannot believe that I will have my baby in 8 weeks (give or take a few days!) Once I got past 20 weeks I felt so much more relaxed and reassured, hope you both feel the same, I completely panicked for the first 12 weeks though!!

Pukka; I saw someone with a bugaboo yesterday having never heard of it before, I thought it was really nice I purposely walked past them again to have another nose at it :p
You're so right, for me it dragged so slowly and now one week seems to melt into another!

Re the bugaboo - lovely but so pricey and my best friend bought one and used it 4 times!!!

hazzie how awful, hope baby stays put for now if that's what you need. Was it a big shock that she died or was she unwell?

Hips were agony last night, but are better now after sleeping in the firm bed...though dh woke me about 6 times :o The opera was great though and the baby was kicking like mad all through it! Think it was much better entertainment than the footie by all accounts.

We may go to mothercare world this morning but may not. dh apparently wants to go if it's early enough in the day as he thinks it'll be too busy otherwise!

We're off to the school summer fair today, tbh not really feeling it myself but the monsters are excited and twin 2 is performing with her little dance club so off we will go.

Hazzie that must have been a terrible shock! I hope you're feeling better this morning.

I had my oldest 2 at Beverley.. then the third we got transferred to Leeds as we were less than 34 weeks.. they then closed that unit and moved it elsewhere so I had 3 there and 1 more at Leeds then the last one the other unit was just a birthing centre so you had to be 37 weeks and never having had any minor complications before etc.. how anyone goes there is beyond me it is ridiculous.. so when Tiddles was born I really didn't want to go to the one here (it has moved to the main hopital now not the ancient dilapidated building next to the prison, which has since been burned to the ground lol) and wanted to go to Leeds.. and gave in to the 'demands' of the surestart midwives etc.. and REALLY regretted it ever since.

Hazzie.. much love to you both, it couldn't be at a worse time :( I really do feel for you. At least birthing the baby on Monday will take your mind off everything else for a bit..

Guys I really need your help. I was woken this morning to really painful cramping. (take breath away painful) They started at 6.50, I thought I was starting in labour but there quite strange and have left me confused. They are coming and have been coming from the start around 3 minutes apart, are intense but havent progressed from this morning to be any worse or closer together About 1 hour ago they started to wain so I went up stairs to do some gentle housework but I had only done about 10-15 minutes and now they have come back just as worse as before. At the minute im coping with the pain with warm baths and paracetemol.

Baby seems to have woken up since I started housework and is really strong movements and now the backache has started.

Everyting I have read seems to contridict what im experiencing. ie if real contractions they should be getting worse not staying the same, BH should go away if I change position/have a bath/get up and walk about.

I am so tired and fed up can someone please tell me they have experienced these symptoms and they are doing some good or am I fooling myself and im just having BH. Midwife appointment on Monday but not sure if I can put up with it till then. DH suggests running me up to hospital but I dont want to create a fuss and would prefer to stay at home until I have to.

Am I in early labour/false labour or just having BH

    Sorry for the long post:(
I hope that my child, looking back on today
    Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs, dust go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
