I think I may actually be much to angry to even consider keeping lines of communication open.

I've had a rant about it at my mother.. and she too came up with some silly questions.. like what if it happened in the middle of the night.. my quickest labour was 16.5 hours... I'll wait while morning!! What if i have a quick labour.. yeah..that'll happen.. NOT.. and if it is that quick I will be caught so unawares it'll be born at home.. her best one.. what if it has to stay in hospital 5 weeks like DS3... point number 1.. he was only in 3 weeks.. and he was born the equivalent of this one arriving next Friday.. and I still don't have the crib so it'll have to wait.. no crib = no baby!

They aren't 'just doing their job' they are trying to use their usual bullying tactics they like to wave at people who don't comply with their little set of rules and who do things they don't like. Their job is to listen and do, within the boundaries of safe and sensible, what I want and what is reasonable.. I don't think asking to go to a hospital in another area is unreasonable, nor do I think saying I don't want antenatal appointments every 5 minutes is unreasonable.. if I feel ill I will see the GP, I am quite grown up enough to know what is healthy and what is not... the abcess I am developing in my sinuses is not healthy..

it is seemingly a case of 'you can do what you like so long as you don't have any independant thought and do what we tell you to'.. that is very much what it feels like.

The worst part is that yesterday she did the yes, we can do that' and today I get a letter threatening to turn up at my house and try badgering me into complying with what they want.. I want what is best for me and my baby I don't care how much it costs the PCT and I know the hospital here is not the best or the safest place for either of us. How can you labour effecively in a place where you feel unsafe and violated?

I have explained all this in a calm and rational manner several times..

When the littlies were referred to orthopaedics earlier this year we were offered hospitals 35 and 55 miles away.. so why is it so different for me wanting to go elsewhere?

Pigpen as you are fully aware they can moan and winge and stamp their feet as much as they like they can't make you do anything you dont want to or go anywhere where you dont feel safe so let them carry on whilst you sit back and relax knowing your doing what is the best for you and baby sod em. I had arguments with every midwife i saw last time over me having a homebirth then i finally got a consultant with an oz of common sense who agreed with me it was a bit of a delmonte moment for me "the man from the hospital he say yes!!" Anyways i havent even listened to the midwife this time i told her im having it at home end of so she grudgeingly put it on my notes and it hasnt been mentioned since. I'm listed for a hospital in a different borough completely for my bloods and scans as the one in my area is just shy of being an abattior.

Let them get on with it if you dont want to speak to them then dont but dont let them get you worked up you know your right, you know what you want and you have sound reasoning behind all of your decissions. I would sit tight and a little smug that they are chasing their backsides and wont get anywhere for all their unwanted effort it is their time they are wasting, channel your energies elsewhere dont waste it on them x

Argh! Pigpen, angry for you. They sound like absolute morons! Like Xmas says you know you are doing the best for you and littley so that is all that matters. Ignore any further communications and get yourself up to Leeds come labour time, you will be fine, the MW can tick off her stupid boxes with someone else.

Kitkat- I was just thinking about CAFC too! I can't wait to hear how things went- eeeep! So exciting! Come on you other babies of bold mummies, (inc mine) get a wriggle on we want our cuddles now! :)

Convent- will try not to queue jump but with DD being 2.5 weeks late I feel I have earned the privilege to jump he he! Hoping this one gets how much I DO NOT want to be hanging around :D Ah well! I realise they will come when they are good and ready, but I do have a sweep booked for 41 weeks so hopefully before then.

Pigpen, it does smack of bullying. Surely someone who's had as many babies as you would have an idea of where is a better place to have them?

Pukkamum - that's just awful 'suggesting' sterilisation!

I think I've got off pretty lucky with my MW - she's never on time, ever, but seems pretty easy going and not the interfering type. Thank goodness, cos I tend to just go 'yes ma'am, no ma'am' and do whatever I feel like anyway :p

Had my 1st cup of raspberry leaf tea today.... YUUUUUCK!!! Disgusting! I am defo guna look for the tablets now!!! I even tried adding Ribena to it, the Ribena tasted nice but the tea... rank!!! Also am taking my calcium.. I feel like its not long to go now!

Does anyone know is it safe to still take pregnancy vitamins while taking these? Or is it best to stop so I am not overdosing on anything? I know I dont need to keep on taking my vitamins but they seemed to keep my levels good and so far all my bloods have been good (unlike me!)

Speaking of 'Rank leaf tea' lol, does anyone know where you buy the tablets from? Can't find them anywhere!!!

vits are fine kitkat.. I got the tablets from ebay I think last time.. or maybe Neals yard is it? Nope.. wasn't there.. must be holland and barratt then.. they definitely have it in.. word of advice.. if you don't drink something with them they are likely to pop and fill your throat with powder which is absolutely hideous and makes you choke and burn your throat.

I'll go check my own links.. bit useless I am.. had KH whinging at me because DD2 thinks she can do as she pleases and DD1 won't go stay at his without kicking and bodily taking there!
