When my OH tells me off for eating too much sugar, I usually suggest he has the next one and we can see how his cravings are. Then I cry, then he feels bad and brings me chocolate :rotfl::TBellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0

Evening all.
Hope we are all well. Massive labour vibes to sammy and everyone on the list in bold...including me.
Well nothing is happening here again. I gave junior a talking to this morning that i am ready for it to make it apprearance but as yet hasnt workedi have spent all morning bouncing madly on my ball too.
RE food police: oh has been very good and let me have what i want. As i have suffered with morning sickness all the way through this pregnancy i have eaten what i fancy when i fancy it. That has included coke or any fizzy pop (cant face tea and coffee anymore) pot noodle (i really dont know why) popcorn and ice cream. Hardly healthy stuff!!! I have stayed away from runny eggs purely because we have our own ducks and chickens and they are not vaccinated although i am sure they would be ok to eat. Over the past few weeks i cant get enough of cream cakes...in any shape and variety.
xxBeautiful baby boy arrived 20th June 2010...Harry..weighing 7lb 4oz on fathers day :j0 -
Massive labour vibes to Sammy and Convent, and also Cafc as I havent been her about today!
Well Pigpen I blame YOU! I went to Tescos for a nice cream cake and guess what... SOLD OUT :( but I did buy some mickey mouse mini donuts, probably a total waste of money compared to the big ones but they just looked so lovely and bite-sizedalso stocked up on nobbly bobbly, they're on offer
Just paid off my credit cardI worked out last nite paying the minimum payments it would take me 9 months to pay off, I had saved some money in the past 2 months with having my bank account frozen so had managed to use that to pay it off. I figured with OH not getting any money this month is my last chance, I know I will probably need it but at least I am not having to pay interest.
Grr my OH! We had a talk last night, apparently he feels left out, like the baby is all mine purely as I have been chosing baby clothes/ etc for it :rotfl:well I have shown him everything I have ordered online and asked what he thought and he said he wasn't bothered for me to do what I want. Most of the clothes have been car boot sale buys and most weekends I have been he has been fast asleep when I left and when I returned, I am sure a couple of occasions he didn't even know I had left the bed! I said to him 'what about the day we went to choose the cotbed/ mattress/ bedding/ towels/ clothes' and how we will be going to choose a pram and baby carrier soon. Men!!
Although after all these diff opinions on prams, I am totally confused and have decided I am going to be totally different and push my baby about in a wheel barrow0 -
Kitkat.. fish chips and peas for dinner tonight. followed by a huge bag of maltesers!! My OH chose the bedding.. Tell yours he can buy something for the baby when he has sorted his money out..
My baby will be in the sling until it is about 8 months old if my others are anything to go by!!

Just wondered as ive never used one but how do slings work as far as your back is concerned i had a baby carrier once for my Daughter as she wanted to constantly watch what i was doing so strapped to my front facing outwards which she loved but it damned near broke my back and i was put off any kind of baby carrier from then on. I have been on here for quite sometime now and i know alot of you swear by them so do they hurt your backs at all? I think it would be nice to be able to be close to baby but still have my hands free :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

IME baby carriers are the spawn of the devil, and are the most uncomfy, torturous devices- however a well fitting sling should spread the weight of baby and make it virtually weight free. I had a wrap sling so the straps are very wide across both shoulders, back and hips, so no pressure points. I could carry her for hours and not feel as though I was carrying any extra weight.0 -
Fernlie thank you i will have to find somewhere that demo's them so i can give them a go they look so lovely and snuggly and i think it would make life easier if she wants some attention but i can still play with bubs at the same time :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Have a little look about online and you should find details of a local slingmeet. They should be able to let you have a gander at their different types and maybe try them out etc. It can be a costly mistake getting a sling that doesn't meet your requirements, so good idea to try some out.
Pigpen will be able to tell you more than I can, as I believe she has tried a few types. I just stuck with the first type I got. I just bought a long strip of fabric to make my wrap sling as I didn't know if I would use it much, I ended up loving it and it only cost a few quid! There are loads of vids on youtube that teach you how to tie them as they look a bit confusing at first!0
