Morning all
Well its my edd today and there is still no sign of junior making an appearancei really thought things would have started to kick off even if i hadnt had junior by now but there has been nothing...even after the extra chilli curry i had for tea last night!!!
Labour vibes to everyone else who has now gone overPlease send me lots back.
Welcome back KT
Well my bag has been packed for 2 weeks with everything i need in it i think...i have even included a fruit pot as a joke for my OH after that really annoying man on OBEM...hehe.
I am still yet to do a birth plan...but am now wondering whether i should actually bother as i might not get a say in the plan of action if junior doesnt engage. I really dont want to be induced as i want to try having a water birth but i suppose i will have to see what happens in the next 2 weeks.
I have also rang my tens machine company to extend the hire for an exra 2 weeks as it was due to be back when i am 2 weeks over and i thought it would be one less thing to worry about nearer to the time if i get that far (am crossing everything that i wont need it though)
xxBeautiful baby boy arrived 20th June 2010...Harry..weighing 7lb 4oz on fathers day :j0 -
Kitkat - Thanks. That's what I was thinking about the order. It shouldn't go out of my account but you never know. I'll phone them.
Mel - Opps ! lol. I'd never been late before no5 but then again she's my only girl and they are normally lighter. Thats why I didnt go into labour naturally.
Convent - Happy due date and major labour vibes to you. I've never done a birth plan but then again I'm vocal to say what I want...even in pain.I just go with the flow as they rarely go to plan anyway.0 -
Morning all
Congrats to saz and michelle - lovely babies!
Bit tired after a long evening with friends...they are lovely but the wife does talk a lot!! We did watch the football on too. Slept ok though woke up quite early...DH is just up. We are visiting friends today too so I need to shower and go and get petrol soon.
DH got the cotbed put up yesterday, looks fine and the room is starting to take shape. Obviously we still need the mattress etc but we are getting there. I am going to check the couple of material shops near work this week for curtain material and if no joy order it online.
Hospital bags - haven't thought at all about this yet! Plenty of time for me. I will probably get dh to do it - he always packs when we go on hols!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
If you phone them Suzy ask if they can guarente the delivery for October as you don't want the risk of them being over-ordered if you defo need it for October. We are hopefully going to test drive prams soon and decide which we're getting, we won't buy it until after the baby is born though but will buy a baby carrier before. Stil can't decide whether to get a pram or a travel system, the travel systems save so much money but i want one that looks a bit more pram-like!!!0
-
Thanks Kitkat I mailed them and asked the above. I would have 'phoned but there not open on Sundays. How inconsiderate! lol
There's a big shortage of pram shops for mothers to be to test prams out. They are all up on shelves out of reach ...whats all that about ??!..or you have to order from a catalogue. We need to test them and feel them before we buy!0 -
Huge congrats to saz and michelle- well done to you both and welcome to Max and Anaya (lovely names BTW.)
Michelle- 60 hours!!!!!! OMG!!! was that 60 hours of full blown labour? I had 3 days of contractions 20 mins apart (so couldn't sleep through them! Grrr!) then 26 hours of full blown hurty labour! Fingers crossed this one makes an entrance a bit bloody quicker I say!TBF it couldn't be much longer as I was an hour away from a EMCS.
I have had a hectic weekend, it was DD's 2nd Birthday, and on Fri had 15 kiddies and their parents round for party food and cake, was lovely but very tiring. Then in the eve we had family up from Devon and it was my cousins B'day so we went out for dinner then back to mine for a cuppa, and ended up having a very late night. Then yesterday had all the family round for a tea party so they could see DD for her Bday- they all helped me out loads though so it was actually a bit of a rest for me as DD was entertained and I was just sitting down with my feet up having a chat with my favourite peopleDH did all the tidying up too, he has been great! So today is just going to be a chilled one.
As I was so tired last night I thought I would sleep really well, but no such luck, I couldn't get comfy. Then when I finally got to sleep I woke up in pain (crampy stomach ache) and I thought OMG I'm going into labour- No such luck (TMI!) I needed a big poo!he he, then could not get back to sleep. I ended up laying awake, worrying about things I still need to do (change my bedsheets and hoover upstairs- like the MW will care about that- but at 3am it seemed really important!) then finally drifted off about 5. My aunt is going to make lunch for me today though so I should get a rest today! Ahhhhh!

congrats to the new babies! michelle and saz also armybike and missus!
ive already got my travel system as got given it by a friend.
but im having the same worry about my furniture, ive ordered wardrobe, cotbed and changing unit from m&p and its not arriving until 3 weeks before. at least it means i get get bedroom all organised beforehand and just put furniture in when it arrives!
however in laws should have ordered crib from there but not heard if they have yet and worried it will be same length of time to wait but dont want to rush them! think thats the most important bit too, or baby wont have anywhere to sleep!:j0 -
Congratulations to new mummies Saz & Michelle hope you are all doing well :-) x
Well i'm feeling much better today kitchen and living room are clean and sorted all clothes are away, DD's room is finished and tidy and i have a sunday dinner in cooking i'm starving so cant wait. Ive also managed to get rid of a load of stuff on freecycle which helps to declutter the place a bit we still have way to much stuff but most of it is baby parafenalia which we will need for new babs so cant do anything about it at the moment :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Well i have stripped the bed.. got dressed.. been for a wee... and collapsed...
I can see me getting very little done today and there is heaps to do.. DD1 is now the one chucking.. we are collecting her prom dress tomorrow as it is child benefit day!
I want the front room sorting.. but I can't see it getting done without a LOT of cooperation from everyone else.. maybe I should find a shoe.. and stir them into action.. and withhold food until it is done!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
