Has The Next Verse been about?? I did pm her as she asked who was having a second HB...but I haven't had a reply back yet. I thought she was maybe after some questions answering, or a chat about it?

Since my last post, my pains got stronger, and much more frequent. We phoned the midwife at 6pm ish, and told her I was ok and would ring back when I needed someone. By 6.45 I was in frequent agony, on my knees rocking on the ball. She got here about 7.10 to assess me, and said the 2nd midwife would be coming shortly. By about 7.50 I was 7cm dilated and really felt the need to push! My waters went about 8pm followed by a very strong urge to push, and baby Max was born at 8.08pm! It was such a relaxing, wonderful quick birth, I'm so glad I opted for homebirth.

So Baby Max was born at 8.08pm on Friday 11th June - his due date!! - weighing 8lb 6oz. He is absolutely fantastic, has hardly made a noise and is breastfeeding well.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! Well done Saz and Michelle - loving the names you've both chosen!

Merfe, I think my hospital bag is going to be fairly minimal too. Couple of cheapy nighties in case one gets messed up, few pairs of pants (ditto), hairband cos I know if my hair is getting in my face it will pee me right off, and some toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush) As much as I love my books and ipod, I also get really aggravated if I can't concentrate on them, so don't think I'll bother with them.

For bubs, I'm going to take a couple of different size sleepsuits, cos I don't know how big/ small it's going to be.

How funny that everyone is discussing packing their bags, I already have my list and i've started putting bits and pieces away in a drawer in preparation - even though I have 17 weeks til d-day, i am very glad i am this organised though as i spent the earlier part of this everning helping my sister in law pack hers and bubs bags as she is due on Thurs but her waters went earlier this evening!!!
Last time i had my stuff all ready in plenty time, the only thing was i was sitting on the floor having contractions trying to find pyjamas for my son as he was sleeping in his boxers! this time i already have it in my calendar to pack everything 2 weeks before and, i'm also going to have 2 little bags made up for the boys so i'll be totally organised.
V excited though as i will be an auntie soon

I only just got back online after a rather long hiatus due to being away rather alot.

If anyone remembers me, I had Alex in February. He is now a 16 week cheeky little monkey!

I am back anyhows... we have a tiny little one due in early Jan!
