It is good for the baby to have colostrum.. we all KNOW that but it is more important for the baby to have a happy, comfortable mummy who feels up to looking after him and loving him and doing other fun things. I isn't the be-all it is made out to be.
Tell him, the online breastfeeding counsellor said so!!

Afternoon ladies
Is it the day for breakdowns? I have had one with Wirgin media and then OH and then laid on the bed and cried for 10 minutes like a stroppy 5 year old - I seem to be over it for now
Hugs for all those with OH's behaving like div's!! My KH was, well a KH and I am so glad to be rid of him - this one has his moments but on the whole he's an :A
OH and his pops have done the woodwork in the nursery today (should be able to paint it next week) and DD1's BF has sorted the front garden which was starting to resemble a jungle - I am very impressed, we have decided to keep him
I also think I might be anaemic - would the MW let me know about this or wait until my next appointment to discuss it?
This is turning into an essay so I'll bugger off leaving all those who need them HUGE labour vibes
Does anyone know if Saz had the bubs? - EDIT - just seen it on FB

Well I've done 6 loads of washing and now waiting for OH to cook dinner as I refuse! Mite start putting bits in my hospital bag, I know i've still got 8/9 weeks but I would rather start now. My mum has given me a small suitcase to use (very small!) so hopefully this will be ok, although it does feel like I'm packing for a holiday!0

kikat.. I have had my hospital bag sitting empty in the bedroom for the last week.. so far the only thing it has had in it... is a small snoozing cat! I have stolen my daughters vanity case thing to stuff things for coming home in which can go in the box with the car seat.. see that's planned just not carried out! I know WHAT I am putting in each bag.. it is just the act of doing it I am yet to master. I have maybe 4-5 weeks if I am lucky.. *runs around the room in a blind panic*.. how did it come round so darn fast?!?!?! I did mine in labour with a few of them.. it gives you something else to think about. I can't put stuff like nighties in yet as I need them.. ditto underwear, toiletries bag etc..
Tell you what shall we go do some bits now? I only have to move about 6ft lol
It is 13 years since I had a summer baby.. as well as a vest, sleepsuit hat and cardy.. it it worth putting in a jacket to bring baby home? I will have a blanket too.. but it is literally hospital door to car.. 10ft... car to house 10ft... I TRIED speaking to OH for an opinion and got snapped at.. I am thinking just take one and don't use it is if don't need to.. BUT.. I haven't bought one.. and I don't really want to waste money on a jacket which will be barely/not used if I can help it.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
