Lol! Men grrrr  my OH is going out on a lads night tonight to celebrate end of exams, lucky me has got to take him out and bring him back at some unearthly hour, whats the betting that I fall asleep and forget him :rotfl: the problem when you start feeling movements (and blimey do I feel them!) that when you DH puts his hand on your belly baby will remain completely still!! My OH gets really wound up with this!!! Othertimes tho he will give OH a good kicking which is good so he can feel what my poor belly and insides have to cope with!

My DH is out this weekend too on a stag do so he will be well oiled by the time he rolls in *jelous* i was a good wife i did offer to pick him up too at some ridiculous hour but he said oh i couldnt possibly ask u to that :D (pheeeew) The past couple weeks everytime he has put his hand on me babe doesnt move or he says he cant feel it, but last night he got a good kicking in bed :rotfl: he he

Oh god pukkamum! Just been reading your other thread - do you have spare beds? You don't want any suggestions of anyone kipping on the sofa!!!!!!!

Grrrr flaming doctors receptionist are so pig ignorant i could have slapped the silly moo today. I dropped my grant form in to be signed went to asda to get some shopping and popped back about 1hr later they left me stood in there greenhouse of a flaming entry whilst they were gassing for about 10 mins then turned round and said ooh i havent got it done yet can you come back after 2pm. Now i wouldnt mind but the one was talking to patient fair enough the other one was just being a nosy cow and gassing with them she knew i was standing there and why i was there and was doing nothing else but i had to wait for the other one to finish with the patient then come to me, she didnt know why i was there and when i explained she started looking around then the other piped up about it not being done, would it have really been to much for her to acknowledge me when i walked in and say sorry its not done yet chick rather than leave me standing there on the verge of passing out. Although they are very friendly when they eventually get round to speaking to you i do find they do this quite alot and it is getting beyond annoying especially when if you have the gaul to say anything they get their backsides in their hands about it and make out your being nasty/argumentative and ask you to leave (i've witnessed this happening before to some poor woman who was in obvious pain whilst they gassed about there being no sugar for their coffee). I'm not sure im going to bother with my bloods today its not been a good day so far all in which has just been topped off by the OH texting to tell me he is in the pub :mad:

I had plans for my OH tonight aswell... he was going to run me a bath, light afew candels and play my favourite music to me.. I cant risk having a bath without him there so I shall have to wait until tomorrow night :rotfl:

My OH always puts his ear to my belly to hear the heartbeat, he normally gets a good kicking in the ear, lol

Seems like it's a day for naughty OHs!

Pukkamum - I'd pull the 'feeble poor pregnant lady' card, tbh, cos I've had a quick look at your other thread. Even if you feel fit as a fiddle, I'd be inclined to become faint and sick or something. One thing to have afternoon visitors you don't really want, but certainly not overnight visitors!

Kitkat, lol at the bath - my OH has actually started listening out for me when I have one, and shouts up periodically. Just got to remember not to put as much water in as I used to, otherwise I get a whole Archimedian flooding effect!

Lol Bexta! Whenever I drop my shampoo/ showergel/ etc in the bath or shower my OH comes running up the stairs panicking I have fallen over! I actually fell over in the shower pre-pregnancy and really hurt myself so now he always comes running bless him!

I'm soooo pleased I have just bagged my 1st freegle freebie :D:D:D I emailed the woman and it didn't send, so I resent it today and she said it was still available and I am picking it up Sunday! Wooooooooooooooo! It was listed as a bouncy/ swinging baby seat so I am abit unsure what it'll be but hopefully a bouncy chair as I've got a swing! She said she bought it for her grandson but he's outgrown it, hopefully it'll be nice and clean. If its a swing I'll just give it to my mum to use :) oooooh im sooo excited!! I was getting jealous of you lot getting kool freebies!

Just got the post, and there's one from the DVLA for OH - I will honestly kill him if he's got more points on his licence. He sold his bike about 3-4 weeks ago, got another, and was going stupidly fast on the motorway home from picking it up. It will serve him right, but won't half make a pig of things. Better get my finger out and get a UK drivers licence - at least I'm a sensible driver! Now the letter is sat there taunting me, hopefully it's something else, but with him, it probably isn't.

I think letters to notify you that you've been caught speeding normally come from the constabulary who caught you, not the DVLA (well, both of mine did, anyway :o ) So hopefully nothing to worry about.

I have really restless legs this afternoon. I just can't sit with my legs under the desk, have had to rest them up on the desk - making reaching the keyboard a bit tricky! And not looking very ladylike!:o

Bigbird, hopefully it is just paperwork to do with his new bike, little swine already has 7 points from the last new bike he got!

Does anyone else have a baby that really likes to hang out in the transverse position? Mine seems to spend most of it's time with it's head poking out rather uncomfortably from just under my ribs on my right.

    Hi all

Pigpen – eeek!! Keep us posted. You know where I am xxx

Work is going ok though I felt dreadful on the journey in…think I’ve developed travel sickness!! Seriously.

But I have managed ok though I think my productivity has gone down. Have just had a meeting with HR woman about mat leave, I don’t actually have to give them notice of my mat leave until 28 days before I go off so that’s fine. Have worked out dates and I can start mat leave on 19 Sept (will have 2 weeks hols to take beforehand) and if I take the full 39 paid weeks I’d come back on 19 June next year, but would have 11 bank hols/statutory/concessionary days to take then….so could come back 4 July…contract ends on 5 July lol. But apparently that doesn’t make any difference as they have to treat me as if I’m here and intend to come back as I have said I want to so I still get enhanced pay and should the contract be extended it’s mine. Apparently I’ll get priority redeployment if not. Nothing I can do but had I fallen pg 2 weeks later I would have had an extra 14 weeks on half pay + SMP…. Shame there’s no doubt on my dates!!

I have a couple more things to do but then plan to leave at 4 as I need to go via the post office and also will be ready to get home!

Very funny incident this morning - the snacks trolley came round and I went over and picked up a big cherry Danish…everyone started laughing as one of the managers has just said he wanted it and had gone for his money. I said ‘but the baby wants it’ lol everyone was laughing and I got it (how could he refuse!!). also just bumped into one of the senior managers who asked how I was and said make sure you take it easy

Sorry for waffling…you can tell I’ve not been on apart from to read at lunchtime!
