I went to college with half the midwifery students here... I wouldn't want to speak to most of them let alone trust them with delivering a baby! and I definitely do not want them looking up my nethers.. another reason to trek off to Leeds!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hi everyone, sorry not been around much. Been up and down and went to meet my friend yesterday which was nice and helped. Fed up of crying. My dh is been very supportive and on monday when i was feeling down and crying he went and got some bits to make me a nice dinner and two cream scones. Very sweet of him. He was trying to cheer me up.
Thankyou Pigpen. Last night i got a phone call off my brothers partner as my mum had told her what had been said in regards to my niece and that i had written on fb. My mum made out it was all me and my brothers partner saw what i had written in reply to my mum and thought it was aimed at her and my brother so had a go at me. I tried to explain what had happened and ended up shaking and finding it hard to breathe. I told her i didn't need this and to not have a go at me. She calmed down and we managed to sort it out. She said that she is going to speak to both my mum and dad. My cousion and other people gave me their support on fb, my mum has had a go at my cousion. which my cousion doesn't need especially as she is due to give birth in a few days. My mum doesn't seem to like that other people haven been supportive. Im just ignoring what she puts and have taken anything to do with it off my fb wall.
Congrats tigtag. Sending lots of labour vibes to Michelle. I am starting to find pregnancey harder now, as my asthma is normally mild but have found it is getting harder to breathe when i am doing something or walking.
Sending hugs to anyone who needs them. I do try and remember what people have posted so i can reply but my memory doesn't seem great at the moment, so i tend to forget by the time i have caught up.Married 09/09/090 -

Forgot to say that with regards to names. Before we found out that we were having a boy we could think of lots of girls names but hardly no boys names. Do you live in Yorkshire Pigpen?Married 09/09/090

I need to give my mat leave dates in next week...I emailed the HR woman last week when I went off sick and asked for a meeting this friday or early next week. I think I will finish 3rd sept which will give me 4 full weeks before due date...not sure I will cope with travelling any later than that. But I will have about 10 days leave & BHs to take so will prob officially start mat leave on 20 Sept...need to work it all out when I go back I guess. Want to keep a few days leave spare in case I need extra days off before. We have a week off early July
Must tell DH he also needs to give notice of PL too...though at his workplace it's probably not needed I don't know if there's any legal requirement? and if he changes jobs it's probably good if he had something in writing. He thinks if he changes jobs it might be hard to take the leave but we'll see.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Glad you got sorted with nieces... I think you should all just tell your mum you are all happy with the arrangements and she can mind her own!

DH actually came up with our girls name but doesn't like any of the boys names I suggest! He always says, 'I knew an x and he was weird' or whatever! I think we are settled on the girls name (not sharing, sorry!)
Try being a teacher! Keep thinking of nice names then shudder as I remember some awful kid who was called that. *shudders*
By the way, kids with make up names begining with K tend to be really naughty. I have no idea why, but it's true!. And in one of my classes there are 12 boys, 25% of which are called Jordan!:rotfl:Honestly, I just have to say the name and all four of them look up at me :T
ETA: just realised 4 out of 12 is 33%. Argh, been at home too long - my brain's going mushy!Updating soon...0 -
courgette - my cousin's little lad has a name beginning with a K. My mum once mentioned it and a friend who was a teacher said 'I bet he's naughty' lol. which he was though isn't now!
Right I must go and shower and get dressed, I am turning into such a slob!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
