By the way, kids with make up names begining with K tend to be really naughty. I have no idea why, but it's true!. And in one of my classes there are 12 boys, 25% of which are called Jordan!:rotfl:Honestly, I just have to say the name and all four of them look up at me :T

ETA: just realised 4 out of 12 is 33%. Argh, been at home too long - my brain's going mushy!

Thats a funny fact, my name begins with K and I was always in trouble in school!

My, you have been chatty while I was away!

    Welcome Sadie

Scan went well:D Flump was looking good, measuring spot on for dates. And wriggling around this time, which was nice to see as he was fast asleep for the 12 week scan. Wouldn’t pose nicely for a picture though, refused to budge from lying face buried face down so we just have a pic of spine and back of head. So the baby is either shy or awkward! :p

Kitkat, my initials were KK before I got married (no middle name) and funnily enough, I used to get called Kit Kat at school! It did used to annoy me a bit having 2 initials the same though.

Another thing to bear in mind with in initials is what the Christian name initials spell with the full surname. In DH’s case, it spells out 2 words which say something not very pleasant. Unfortunately his parents didn’t have a lot of choice as they were going to give him his Grandad’s middle name as his middle name (old family name), but Grandad got the wrong end of the stick and though his first name was going to be DH’s middle name. DH’s folks didn’t have the heart to tell him otherwise so he got A as his middle initial instead of B. (And if anyone’s really bored and has me as a friend on FB, you should now be able to work out what the 2 words are!)

DH likes Lucy for a girl and I quite like Isobel. I thought we could put them together, but they’d spell LIP – that’ll be just asking for a gobby teenager a few years down the line!!

We had probably better come up with a back up boy’s name, in case Flump is a boy but doesn’t look like a Joseph. Same thing happened to SIL – her eldest was going to be Erin for months before she was born, but when she arrived they decided she didn’t look like an Erin so she’s Megan instead. And she definitely suits Megan better.

My other choice of boy’s name would be Noah, but DH says that’s “too biblical”. Yeah, cos Joseph’s not biblical at all, is it... :rotfl:

rach i also have to tell work this week what i plan to take for my maternity and i havent a clue what to do!! i think il be ok working right up to 38wks, but its the coming back date im unsure about! i get quiet a good mat pay package, i get 18weeks full pay then i can take up to 21 weeks SMP, but me and OH will really struggle without my full wage so i dont know how long i could cope with only the SMP? so i dont know how long to tell them i want off? if i say i want the full 39wks leave then wish to go back earlier can i? i am so confused and i dont want to make a decision about it just yet, but i have to lol!

    congrats sadie x

I love all the baby name talk, its reminded me of a couple of boys names I like which is good as I couldn't think of any. Girls names are so much easier.

With my son we were gonna call him ruben but all the family hated it, that didnt put me off too much but it also meant post addressed to baby and OH could get confusing with the same initials. so we decided against. Then when he was born all we heard from everyone for months was how much he looked like a ruben (he really did) made me wish we hadn't changed it but now he has grown into his name and that suits him too.

    Hi Ladies!

I have had a complete mind blank today... I was going to PM the lovely lady that has had a home birth in the past and is going to be having another one this time around, but can't remember who it was :( Can whoever it was send me a PM? Thanks xx

On a side note, I have only just noticed that Xmas and I are due on the same day and I start my maternity leave on the same day as Kit Kat!

I know that people say that pregnancy goes fast, but it isn't until someone points out that I am 7 months pregnant that I realise that it goes faster than I thought it did! Keep having daily wobbles now about how I'm going to cope when the baby arrives whereas i never really thought of it in the beginning.

    BTW Congrats sadie xx
