*LABOUR VIBES* to Michelle, hope all starts happening fast and painlessly for you!
Just thought I would post a pic of the baby gym I bought from a carboot sale on Monday, its immaculate, has many hanging 'things' and plays music, squeaks, rattles and crinkles! Cost £2 which I am pleased with, even comes with a carrycase which will be handy when going to my parents house

hey guys, logging in for a quick catch up this thread moves so fast by the time i get on ive lots to catch up on wish i could get on it at work, but the big boss sits directly behind me and im too afraid to get caught:(
KITKAT that play mat is amazing, i cant believe you got it for £2!!!
re prams, i dont know when im going to take the plunge and actually buy one, im 24wks today so i must get moving, i havent bought ANY baby related items as yet:eek: although OH's sister is giving us her cot as she didnt get much use out of it so its practically brad new quiet pleased about that
does anyone know when milk starts to come in? i woke up today with crust on my nipples? tmi i know!! i tried to get as much off as possible but they were SO sore. i was wondering if that was a sign of me making milk?
hope everyones bumps are behaving, unlike mine who is laying very low and kicking my bladder to death  i feel like all i do is complain about being pregnant :rotfl:0 -
KK - That Playgym looks fantastic, what an absolute bargain:D
I was thinking of some kind of sling, mainly for around the house in case new baby is a clingy one. That way I would still have free hands to deal with ds3 who will only be 15mths when newbie arrives. I did get a Babasling from TK Maxx, just picked it up because it was such a bargain really, but i'm not really sure if I like it. I prefer the Joey/mei tai style, but they always seem pricey:(
Was thinking I should actually get all the baby/birthing stuff together in a bag so it is ready for the HB and easy to locate, also handy incase of needing to go into hospital....I am due in 3 wks.
I had loads of dreams last night that I had started labour, and with feeling sick all day yesterday and today I wonder if it's a sign!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -

I think it varies quite a lot person to person, I have never had leaking boobs and this is my 4th baby.....They have never really grown much either maybe 1-2 cup sizes that's all, maybe I don't make much booby milk??
It does sound like you may have had a little leak though:pUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Dreamie your boobs can start leaking at anytime thankfully mine dont until they put in an appearence. I know some of the ladies on here recommend a cream that will help with the soreness caused by leakage but i cant for the life of me remember what it is called im sure one of them will pop up soon with the answer :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Dream birdie- My BB's don't actually leak much in pregnancy (ie no damp patches) however do get a bit (eeeeeew TMI) crusty from approx 4-5 months in. The amount you leak varies greatly and many women who breastfeed fully for a long time never actually see any evidence of their milk, except a happy, full, growing bubba! Unfortunately I am not that lucky, I leaked loads with DD and for ages too. I tried every breast pad going, it was ridiculous!
Xmas- not sure if it's what you are thinking of, but Lansinoh is just the best stuff going for any breast feeding soreness probs.0 -

and i am tired. I can't believe it - my ds was born super quick and was only 12hrs from waters going to having him in my arms. I was only 2hrs at hospital before he was born.
I went to hospital this morning as I had contractions 5-10 mins apart but lasting over 1min each. I was only 2cm so sent home. So now 8hrs later I am having to kneel or squat to get through the contractions. They are still 5-10 mins apart and lasting 1min. I don;t know how long this is going to go on
. I just want to cuddle my baby.
Well after posting this in the evening of 2nd June I went to back to hopsital at 10pm to be told I was 4-5cm (:( boo I thought - I thought I was going to be further along and thought it would be ages still) but they would let me stay. I asked for birthing pool and they said it was free :j yippee!!
It took them a while to fill it. They gave me gas and air but I used it with ds and didn't like it when I had my son and after 1 or 2 puffs decided I couldn;t use it again so I had no pain relief  I then vomited..but then the pool was ready at about 11pm. I got in the pool and it was bliss!!!!!
I had a few contractions and then had the urge to push  Niamh was born at 11.51pm
weighing 7lb 10oz.
We were home by 4am!
I am one very proud mummy.I have had two easy/quick labours in the end and I would say if you have the chance to have a water birth DO IT!! I found it a nicer experience than on a bed.
Good luck to all of you xxSAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -
