I'm properly joining in over here now, was on the less than 12 week thread but had my scan yesterday and everything is going well. I'm 13 weeks today and little one is due 8/12/10. I can't wait lol

    Congratulations and welcome over:D
Thanks for all your replies ladies, was very helpful.

I think I gave you all the wrong impression of the dog, which is quite easy to do over long distance on an internet forum!

Ahhh thank you for your clarification post...I think the HB might be a good answer for you, if you do have to go into hospital then the only thing for it is if your dh pops back, if it was going to take 3 days then I'm sure he would have plenty of time to...or maybe find some way of leaving them in the garden, so they have free reign to go to the toilet. Then it wouldn't be as time critical for your dh to nip home:)

I hope you get something sorted x

EDIT - If you want to ask anything about HB, I had one last March with ds3 and am having one this time too....Although I don't claim to be any great authority on the subject:)
Hi all I am in labour :j but have been for 24hrs :( and i am tired. I can't believe it - my ds was born super quick and was only 12hrs from waters going to having him in my arms. I was only 2hrs at hospital before he was born.

I went to hospital this morning as I had contractions 5-10 mins apart but lasting over 1min each. I was only 2cm so sent home :(. So now 8hrs later I am having to kneel or squat to get through the contractions. They are still 5-10 mins apart and lasting 1min. I don;t know how long this is going to go on :(. I just want to cuddle my baby.

:j:j:j Have you done some of these;)
I hope things get moving more quickly for you soon xx

Hope everything starts happening for you MSD.

Well I have been suffering with braxton hicks all day.. is this normal? I have had them for the past week or so, but only occasional and for short periods of time, I swear I have had the tightening sensation all day at work, had it shopping tonight, and had it since I got home. Its not painful, but just feels abit uncomfortable.

Tried bouncing on my gym ball tonight for the 1st time, I actually found it helped me, my back/ pelvis and hips were hurting so much when I got in but bouncing on my ball for about 15 mins seemed to ease things.

Oo looks like lots of exciting things are going on for a few ladies and some more babies will be here soon!
Does anyone know how easy it is to take bby clothes back to next/boots still with tags but no reciepts to exchange sizes? im 32 weeks now and had a scan today tl check placenta position, good news is it has moved so can get the natural birth i want, bad news is this natural birth is going to be agony as baby is measuring as if i am about to pop lol i knew she would be big cos ds was 8.13 but sounds like this is a fatty and half ha. anyway i have clothes going up to 1 month and want to swap for up to 3 as they add up to quite a bit of money and want them to get used more than 1 week!

Loads of labour vibes for MSD i hope things get moving for you :-)

Cafc sounds like your having a big boy then hope he doesnt give you too much grief before he comes out :-)

Ollipops i dont think you should have to much trouble if your only exchanging them alot of places only insist on reciepts if you want your money back :-)

Right im off for cuddles with the OH looks like he may be out of a job come sunday the place he works has cut the security contract hrs so unless they can relocate him he is redundant. lovely timing :-(

    Hello
So I am 17+3 today, (ish) and totally thought my M/W appt was tomorrow..........she left an answerphone message to say I had missed it today!!:eek::eek:
When I made this appt, she was booked up for 3 weeks  Now I am not sure how desperately imprtant this is, but over the last few days I have had several spontaneous nosebleeds.......just sitting on the sofa etc, nowt high impact LOL
So I will call to re-book tomorrow, but should I try to push to be seen sooner than the 3 weeks I know they will try to tell me..........are nosebleeds common or (as my mother predicts) I am likely to collapse with high BP soon :D

I am sure next and boots will be fine, norm without receipts you get a gift card but i am sure they will be happy to exchange items.

Xmas; sorry to hear about ur OHs job, same happened to my OHs job so i know what your going through. I just keep asking myself why would it happen now.

Good luck MSD, hope it all speeds up for you and you're getting your mummy cuddles asap!

The end is in sight CAFC- try and get as much rest as you can hun.

KK- I have days like that, where I get BH all day and then won't have any for a week or so, then have another full on day. If anything starts to worry you though as in stabbing pains or any other early labour signs don't hesitate to call your MW.

Pigpen- Just to say that my MW didn't do my forms at my 28 week appt so I just waited until my 33 week and from sending off my forms to money in my acct it was only 7 days. I did speak to my surgery though who said you can drop off your sure start maternity forms and a request for HIPG form to the surgery, the MW will sign it all and then they will call you to collect, so maybe your surgery will do this?? I know you have early bubbas so prob don't want to leave it much longer I would imagine.

ETA: Xmas- sorry to hear about your OH's job, what a complete PITA!! You will get through it though, we just have a way of coping, fingers crossed he gets relocated or something else comes up really quickly as you don't need the stress atm.
