Because I am not booked in the hospital here I haven't got the number for labour ward here either.. it is ridiculous.. all the numbers were scribled out with marker pen.. I was told to just go to a&e or the elusive GP if I had any problems and they would deal with it!! It is totally stupid..

As far as I am aware none of the surgeries here have midwives going in any more.

I don't have a next appointment.. I am just going to turn up at the clinic thing next week.. there is only someone there on a Wednesday afternoon.. and demand they do them then.

And right now I am not coping with even thinking about the birth and the closer it gets the wose I am feeling.. I can't discuss it with OH as it is his first he is already absolutely terrified and my moaning will just make him worse.. If I whinge to my mother she will tell me to get a grip, while that is probabl what I need i don't think I can handle I being said at the moment either.

DS3 was born in 3 weeks time... and the other were in 6-7 weeks time.. and I may be bricking it!! How can you labour effectively if you are so absolutely petrified of being anywhere near a hospital?

Hi everyone, im feeling quite down at the moment. Having problems with friends who seem to have no regard for me or my time and it feels like they have no respect for me. Have posted a thread about it. Its making me cry and life just feels crap at the moment. Also when my dh got up this morning he found that the car had been broken into and someone had stolen his tomtom.

Have got to go to the hospital tomorrow to have my bloods taken, as they are keeping an eye on my thyroid. I will try and catch up on the posts.

Aw pigpen, I had a completely straightforward labour compared to some of yours but my MW was a vile, evil witch and made it a really negative experience for me. I don't like hospitals at the best of times but I really am scared I will have to go in again this time round. I like the idea of a birth centre but there isn't one very near me, so just hoping I can stay at home this time, and not be bullied in to going in again like last time. I just have no faith in Dr's/ MW and it makes it really difficult to trust what they tell me, as I am so aware of the sheer amount of bull**** that comes out of their mouths!

Just moan at us, we can take it, and we can give it to in case you hadn't noticed :D I think it is completely normal to be apprehensive, never mind all the horrific things that have happened to you in 'their care.' Hopefully this little bean will get really comfy in there and you can have a straightforward home birth without having to worry about any complications of having a preemie.

Good luck with getting your forms filled in by someone, if you can track them down, as I said before it is ridiculous but nothing shocks me anymore!

    Morning All

Thought I would stop in and say hello and let you now I am still here. Baby Bump is wriggling plenty although had a minor scare last week when I thought I had lost part of my waters - a 7.30pm trip to my second choice hospital confirmed that everything was/is ok still and they had no idea what the leakage was!

Was a bit shocked that where I want to deliver wont accept me until 27 weeks though but they are only midwife run and i didn't realise the cut off for full term was 37 weeks so as much as Im willing her to come out already - its 24 degrees today! - I am willing her to stay in too at least till then. Although the hospital I went to did tell me that she is already 3/5ths engaged so shes ready and waiting to make her move basically!

I have another midwife appointment on the 8th June. Still getting the feeling that baby bump is going to make an early appearance though and for some reason 20th/21st is sticking in my head but hoping that's more because its fathers day on Sunday and my partners birthday on the Monday!

Also suffering dreadful heartburn and sore hips at the minute - completely forgot just how bad it was and i had the same with Benji.

Right best get a shift on - off to take him to the dentist this morning - he had an infection in his tooth thanks to his schools lack of care so been on antibiotics for two weeks - hoping they don't have to do too much to his little tooth - tooth is fine but the nerve is dead, but taking him to the beach today for a few hours so hoping that will make up for it!

    Labour vibes to all who need/want them! x x x x x

    morning all

pigpen, sorry I didn't mean to make light of your situation, it is pants care up there I know.

I managed a decentish nights sleep in with dh, woke at 6 cos of the light and dozed and felt bump etc for 90 mins. now waiting for dh to get up so I can get dressed. Feeling more positive today though I've not left yet so it may change!! I will see what the dr says tonight, i know that I might have to self cert but I'll feel more able if she has told me to!

and sir monster let's have a coffee sometimes, seems silly not to when we're only a mile or two away and at such a similar stage.

I must get dh to sort my bump pic so i can put them on here. I was showing my mum some photos the other day and v embarrassingly there was one DH took of my breasts as I had been saying 'have they grown?' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh SS I feel your pain!

I have heartburn, sore hips, and cannot stay cool no matter what - doesn't help that we live in a weird area so leaving windows open is a no go and boyfriend insists on hibernating in the duvet! even tried popping myself with pillows last night and it failed miserably although cuddling my v pillow is very comforting lately - will remember to take it the hospital with me!

I had a busy day planned too - dentist for little one, then town, then beach but hate crowds and think the beach will just make me miserable with heat and depressed at feeling like a whale - plus its just me and little man if i go there so slightly concerned at popping at 36 weeks! so talked him into the local air conditioned play centre instead!

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

wooo...That silent urine infection that the midwife thought I had turned out to be me being Anemic...wooo

    What does that mean?

Edit: Nope, I was being a silly billy, Those results haven't come back yet. This was for the bloodtest done yesterday...

I guess it shows why I have been feeling down and not being arsed to do anything...
