    Hi everybody

I think I'm going to be jumping the q.My c section is on the the 1st july at 7 am but midwife saw me yesterday and thinks I won't last until then so a big possibility of emergency c section. There is no way I can give birth in the normal way due to my back problems aswell as baby lying transverse and I have been having braxton hicks for 2 days now.Had a scary moment yesterday night as baby was not moving at all and bump was very tight and I was getting cramping pains, finally started kicking after Hubby bribed bump with ice cream from millies and a trip to shops later today-clever baby.

Also wanted to ask is it better to have crib downstairs and moses basket for bedroom or the other way round?
I was only planning on a moses basket and then getting a cot but hubby really wanted a crib so we got the kensington in white from babies r us on offer for £49.99 and we are definately having a mose basket too as my mum and sis are insisting on getting one.

Labour vibes for those who need/want and happy vibes for everybody else.x

Sonee; thats good news about queue jumping, I am hoping I get to also (but not too early!!). I would say crib upstairs and moses basket downstairs for during the day, but I am no expert! I have got a cot bed in baby's room and a moses basket that will be used upstairs during the night, next to our bed, and brought downstairs during the day. I don't think we will use the cot for a while, we will mainly use the moses basket during the first few weeks.

Please tell me off, I'm a terrible shopping fiend :rotfl:

Am now looking at a sheepskin buggy liner for when the little monster who hasn't even been born yet outgrows her carrycot.

Oh well. If I keep on shopping eventually they will cut the internet off when there is no money left:o:o :rotfl:

Think I am going to take the monsters to the park in a minute. There's one round the corner which is quiet usually and has a seat so I can veg out with my book. At least I can't shop there :p

I'm the same Delain, think I am obsessed with baby shopping! I am always telling OH about things I have bought/ am going to buy, bet he gets so sick of it! I don't like shopping for myself, but I love baby shopping :D

    Hi Ladies!
Just popping on with a quick query (which i should prob know the answer to being that this is my 3rd but hey ho!)

My sister in law is due in 3 weeks, i'm due mid october, she has a gorgeous Baby K moses basket which she has said she will give to us for our baba (so chuffed as its mega expensive but amazing quality) will i need to buy a new mattress for it?? I know that is normally what is advised but i'm not entirely sure of the reason for this??
Does anyone know why this is advised?

    Thanks
    >>>>now a few quick moans<<<<
Struggling to sleep, really wish i could enjoy being pregnant but its not happening really, same as last time, really bad back every night :( still signed off til Monday so enjoying the rest although i should really be studying! can't wait for october I'm so impatient want everything done now, bag packed etc, already have my list of everything that needs to be ready for me and the boys for hospital, going to grandmas

Had a quick look at prams / travel systems last week, had my mind set on getting the graco quattro tour deluxe in lol, which is exactly what i had with DS2, although they have changed the package a bit. but when i had a look at it last week i noticed that when it has the infant carrycot in their is large gaps where i think it could get really drafty for little one especially at that time of year, i loved it when i had it, although it was pretty bulky it lasted my son well (until i got bored and bought a mclaren), i then looked at the Silvercross 3d which is gorge but the car seat doesn't have an in car base, the online reviews aren't great and i didn't like the look of the shopping basket, also i think when my son outgrew the carrycot on the graco i then used the car seat as so he was still rear facing for a good while----so back to square one no idea what next!

Sorry for the bad grammar, massive post i type as i talk lol

Can I ask a question??? To those who know what they are having Pink or Blue have you told people or not ?????

I know and haven't told anyone...
oh KK been to the docs and got prescribed lactulose like the other said:) Also got given some cream(anusol:o) to help with the soreness after movements, apparently it's the number 2 causing little cuts in the back passage which in turn causes the blood...not sure if you wanted to know that but I like things explained to me and assume everyone else does too:o:p:D

Be careful with the lactulose.. it made me so ill I was hospitalised!! I had a massive reaction to it and was screaming in agony with my stomach... and it didn't make any difference to the poop!

dip-!!!!!! here forgot to ask for the certificate thing for the maternity grant and hipg and healthy start vultures!!! I am so fooked off with myself I could cry!

And.. apparently they can't do the hospital referral it has to go hrough the quack so they want me to go there... no chance!!!

    !!!!!! do I do now?

    Hi all

Had a read through but can’t remember half of what I was going to say!

Prams – we are going for a Maclaren Techno XT as I’ll be on and off buses a fair bit and we don’t have much space for it at home. I might borrow a parent facing pram from a friend for the first few weeks but I’ll see. We are planning to go and see the XT this weekend as last weekend the place we went didn’t have it in stock! I hope to use a sling/carrier most of the time.

I have been feeling a bit pants again today, almost passed out on the train which was pretty rubbish, a nice lady noticed and was nice to me, so I ended up in floods of tears. They had the heating on the train, how ridiculous! Then when I got into work the foyer was hot and I nearly went again, then ended up in floods of tears over a colleague! Ended up calling the Drs and the receptionist was lovely, put a note through to the Dr who said to come in tomorrow at 5pm. I think I am lucky with my Dr. Have had to rearrange an important meeting at work but I’m putting myself first now!

My friend has also emailed to postpone our meet up tonight, probably another good thing really. She is having fertility treatment and test this morning showed it hadn’t worked this month. I’m sure I’m the last person she needs to see therefore!

I must get an early night tonight, at least tomorrow will be a short day.

Tinkwings we know we are having a boy we have told some close friends and I have told my family, husbands family havent contacted us recently since we told them we were expecting they are rubbish at keeping in touch so havent told them yet other than his cousin who emails me lots as she is due week before. When people at work ask I say yes I know but am not telling everyone but didnt tell them til i was 15wks that was pregnant as its my business and not work colleagues.

Mum has just rung and she has been in loft to sort out baby clothes that my niece (aged 3yrs) and nephew (4yrs) had upto the age of 2yrs ready for our baby and my sister is due a girl 7th oct and mum says wont need to buy anything til baby is 2yrs old as she has 3 big bin liners full for the first year and my sister has one full at her house for first year then a few more for upto 2yrs!!! Mum says most of it only worn once or twice and until they were 2yrs my mum did the washing as didnt trust my sister (and quite rightly from recent evidence of her washing skills) - so 3 bags of baby boys stuff en-route to me will all be washed and ironed did tell mum I could do it which she knows but said she is doing my sisters stuff so will do mine and think she hasnt been overly involved due to distance as lives 200miles away. she will come to see me when I go on mat leave.

Essay finished at work this morning when set mind to it I did another 700 words in 2hrs called it quits and drove the 2 and half round trip to hand it in - I had some lunch whilst there as didnt want to do a straight there and back.

Well we did go to the park but I could tell from the wall of dry heat that hit me when I walked out of the door we weren't going to be there long :o

Can't believe it's gone from rain almost all day yesterday to roasting in under 24hrs!

I'm going to go and hang some washing out now, what I put out on the off chance when it looked like more rain this morning is bone dry, and had to get changed into more suitable (ie less!) clothing.

I bet this is going to be the hottest summer in years whilst we are all hiding indoors like victorians :rotfl:

Tinkwings, it's not the same, but we're yellow and no one believes us that we don't know!

Freebie - excellent work on getting your assignment done! :T Anyone who can study and be preggo must have a lot of focus. Mind mind has totally gone, I can barely put together a coherent sentence most of the time.

Not so sure on being focused I did 3 modules of masters last year and was told couldnt continue due to work constraints and begged to be able to do this module and was about 11wks pregnant when it started and felt very ill but after discussion with husband decided not to let work win and to do the module - so first few weeks I was feeling sick and then in lots pain from hip and leg pain but have been some determined (bloody minded my friends say!!) to finish it and pass that I have carried on. Having a break now until after mat leave where more begging will commence to do another I have until 2013 to complete the masters and have 2 more modules plus a distertation to do.
