hi ladies i know some of you claim maternity allowance, im just wondering how long your claims took with the exception of cafc (i think) whos took ages and loads of phone calls ?????????
thanks
Took about a week for me. Asked for it to start at 29 weeks and got first backpayment at 30 weeks even though i applied at about 28+2. think it depends what officce deals with your claim and how busy they are.0 -
I am in floods of tears... hormones are of course making the situation 100 times worse than it is:o BUT:mad::mad::mad:
Had to go to the bank. In my bank you queue up where there are little bits with pens where you can fill in slips etc.
Got there and there was a woman writing away and taking ages so I stepped in front of her ready for the next available cashier... as I would always do and people do if I'm filling in a slip.
Cashier became free just has she finsihed writing... SHE SHOVED ME OUT OF THE WAY:eek: AND ACCUSED ME OF PUSHING IN AND HAD A MAJOR GO AT ME!!!:mad::mad::(
I was fuming!! The cashier she went to looked shocked (but served her:mad:) I went to the next one and couldn't keep my anger to myself and ranted away to my cashier about her... so she could hear!;)
I cried all the way home and to DH. Wish he'd been with me!
Grrrrr... stupid PG hormones!!:o
I do have a cake though:)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

Console yourself with the fact you didnt act like a petulent toddler whilst others looked on and probably thought you were a div!!!
And even if you had have done you would have had a very good hormonal related excuse!!

Honey they CANNOT do that until you are 36 weeks pregnant and the illness is directly related to pregnancy so please don't let them bully you like that!!
xxx
Thanks Tigtag, and Sir Monster!! My manager is the type to just make it up as he goes along, I am stil waiting to see a maternity policy as of yet this company doesnt seem to have one. When I asked my manager about this (pre-pregnancy) he just said that we would never need one here as he didn't think I would have kids until my thirties (!!!) and that the other 2 woman who worked here were gay! yes... this is my manager! I'm the only woman here now!
Just spoke to CAB now, sounds as tho I am going to have to either be off sick or grim and bear it. Doesn't look like I can claim much, bar abit of housing allowance (that is reduced as I am a private tennant) she said I should be okay once the baby is born but until then the fairies will have to pay the bills!
Bexta; I know what you mean about moist toilet tissue.. it is a godsend.. sorry if TMI!
Fuzz; I am also embarrassed to report, I have the same prob... i just really cant be bothered to go to docs... do you reckon he would sign me off :rotfl: lol.
Smartie; you seem to be having a tough time with people pushing into you/ pushing past you. I dont think I like this stage of pregnancy, people dont seem to realise you are and just treat you like sh*t!! I could never push past a normal person nevermind a pregnant lady!! I feel like as I am a fairly quiet person people tend to walk all over me but I tell you if someone knocks my bump THEY'LL KNOW ABOUT IT :mad::mad: it just disgusts me how these people can act like this... what is wrong with them!?!
Oh... BTW.. anyone seem MGEB cute piccies of baby Zachary on FB?? He is sooo sweet0 -

Seriously honey, dont let him bully you - if you think you need a sick note, get one - if he questions it I can soon be from the MA if you wish**confuzzled** wrote: »:rotfl:Once I get an appointment I'll report back to you whats recommended:)
