    Hi All

Sorry to hear some of you are having a rough time lately. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Good luck today CAFC, hope you get some proper answers and it's nothing serious.

Congratulations on the new arrivals :T

We ordered our travel system at the weekend :D We've gone for a Jane Slalom with Matrix car seat. Not very MSE, but we wanted a buggy that will go offroad and I also like the car seat as it lies completely flat for the first few months, which will be good if we decide to head up and visit my folks who are a 4-5 hour drive away. It was also encouraging that the guy who ran the pram shop said he has one of these seats for his own little boy. I've heard they are quite fiddly to fit in the lie flat position though, which is why we want to get it well in advance of Flump arriving so we have plenty of time to practice with it.

I was also really pleased that a local(ish) independent retailer had it for the same price as the cheapest we've found on the internet, so we've ordered it from him.

I'm very jealous of all the funky things people have been getting to try from Bizzie Babies. Our first sample arrived this morning - 2 packets of spaghetti! :rotfl:

I will get SMP, 6 weeks @ 90% and then the rest at £120 per week or whatever it is! I do get taxed on it though! (which i find ridiculous!) hoping OH is going to look into benefits this week as I am really panicking now, my SMP wont even pay the rent! Looked through some of the books the MW gave me at the weekend and I am better off quiting my job when the baby is born and living off benefits, I actually will earn more that way! Its ridiculous! No wonder people dont want to work! Have to admit I cant imagine not working, although at the moment I am ready for a break but I am sure I will want to come back after some time off!! :rotfl:

It is crazy isn't it....although now the Tories are in I wouldn't say benefits are going to be great for very long:p

It will be typical though that the first time in my life I actually need to claim anything they will probably stop it! I hate the idea of them changing the retirement age, who wants to work until their in their 70s!! I wana be on some tropical island sipping cocktails by then, lol.. (i know the reality will probably be quite diff!!!)

Am trying to phone citizens advice to arrange an appointment, lines been engaged for hours, obviously everyone is panicking!!!

Couldnt believe it was pouring when I woke up with morning, I actually got sun burnt yesterday! Strange weather!

Mine didn't take too long. I applied as soon as I could and asked for it to start from 29 weeks. I got my first payment of 3 weeks worth of MA on May 25th so I was 32 weeks. However I got confirmation that I would receive MA within 8 days. Hope that helps. ;)

Doctors usually prescribe Lactulose syrup which can be bought from the chemist...need to ask for it at the counter;). But of course we can't give medical advice on here so best check with your docs/pharmacist:)
