I buy very little in newborn size just a couple of things then the rest is 0-3 or even 3-6 ive found all of mine have grown really quickly in the their first few months and never got much wear out of anything you can always get more if your bubs is small :-)

Hi Kat....Tbh I wouldn't buy that pushchair as I agree, pretty much everyone would assume you have a boy in it. It is very nice though, but babies are so hard to distinguish between boy/girl when they are newborn you would probably be a bit put out if you have to keep on repeating that it is a girl!!!! Of course you may have a boy anyway;)

Personally, I would choose something a bit more unisex, unless of course you are going to find out the flavour at 20wk scan.....then I would wait and buy a pushchair afterwards:)

Thanks delain and xmas, think I will take some of it back and swap it for 0 - 3 months and keep a few bits at newborn just in case. As never done this before you just never know what to get, also since finding out I can get blue have got a bit excited - like how cute is all this!! Delain this is my first ickle monster so have no clue what size he will be!!

Next thing is to sort out the cot and pushchair/travel system, like the one from TJ Hughes but they could assume you have a boy I suppose it depends in real life how bright the blue is!!

sir monster - sorry to interfere but I would actually say stick with the newborn stuff.

My little man is a month old and moved into his 0-3 vests last week but still doesn't fit in 0-3 sleepsuits. they're much too baggy and he gets both his legs stuck in one leg hole because they're so loose. A few of his 0-3 clothes fit him but most are too big. He's had loads of wear out of his newborn sleepsuits and newborn vests. He wasn't a small baby either, he way 8lb 5 at birth and was 8lb 9 at weigh in a week and a half ago.

Hello, been lurking for a few days just cos I've felt too fat and anti social to join in.

Sir Monster, it is really hard knowing what to buy isn't it? I've got a few little bits, but judging by the random body parts I keep feeling poking out, I don't think bubs is going to be that small

CAFC, I hope things start getting better for you! Take care of yourself and Little L.

Thanks Gill as my DH just said we are both getting excited so want to buy for him!! Will keep some sleepsuits, bodysuits and a set in newborn - may swap a couple over. Thankfully they weren't expensive anyway, usually in the sale or primark - don't understand why you would spend a lot on a new baby!!

  • Raspberry leaf tablets 1/2 price in Holland and Barrett ( bought some yesterday think it was £3.99 for 100, didn't fancy the tea as I know I won't be disciplined enough to drink it )

I'm suffering sciatica down my left leg and find lying on my right side with a pillow between my knees helps with the pain

For whoever asked about protein in pee, TMI alert - I had that a few weeks ago an the midwife said it could just be from discharge, 2nd test showed up clear

Anyone having itchy heels ?? Strange I know but it's driving me mad

CAFC - hugs, hopefully things progress quickly/painlessly for you, I'm with you I'll be so glad to be no longer pregnant anymore, it's just one ache after another

DTD - go through spells of wanting it all the time but in the last week or two I would gladly for go it for a cup of tea !!

Sleep - my husband keeps waking up buried alive with pillows everywhere - thank goodness we have a super king size bed otherwise we'd never manage any sleep

Hope everyone else is feeling well - Think I have covered everything for now

Check with mw as itchy feet and hands can (rarely) mean liver problems.
I'm VERY itchy on my stretched bits- under the bust and across stomach and I've just been slapping loads of E45 and moisturiser on.

Thanks MLSL - I have been considering the tablets, I am willing to try anything if it means fewer/weaker afterpains:)

Been up and tidied and cleaned the nursery, now ds3 isn't in there I have dumped most things in the cot haha!! I also set up the buggy and had a little push about, I really cannot wait to start using it:D:D It just needs a hoover in there now, couldn't do that as ds3 was napping in the next room. he most likely would have slept through it but he was such a grump I didn't want to risk waking him....... There are now 4 bin bags of clothes in the cot 2.5 boys and 1.5 girls clothes and also a bag of unisex stuff:) I can't even get any of it washed and sorted into drawers because I don't know which ones to be doing!!! I might sort a few of the unisex bits out and put them in.
