xmas - What were they saying about active fit Pampers?

Nappies, I think I bought 1 pack of size 1's and then was in size 2's for quite a while, then size 3's a fair while, size 4's I used very briefly and moved onto 4+ which he is still in now.

well I have decided and done an order for 4 packs sz 4 and 4 packs sz 4+ pampers baby dry from tesco online and also ordered 2 packs johnsons wipes on BOGOF - had a £10 off a £50 spend with tesco and as they dont make the savings til after delivery it will take £10 off the shop so total is just over £46 (with a tues early eve delivery of £3.50) but once the deals all come off the total will be around £27.

Husband thinks I am barking mad as he has not a clue about babies and just says yeah buy whatever we need and get what we can now!!

Picking up a crib tommorow managed to barter to £15 its a pine swinging crib with drape rods 6mths old hardly used and is about 10mins from home!! - got off gumtree (gumtree and netmums are fab!)

Sounds like a bargain freebie...the Mr T order and the crib:)

I have just given LO a tin of beans and sausage:o I am just too hot and lazy to cook today!! Now what can I give the older two.....Maybe some super-noodles and something?

I do 'usually' cook decent family meals but this heat, and the thought of standing sweltering in the kitchen just doesn't appeal at all.....That is why I do keep back-ups of quicky/crappy dinners in the house for the kids, at least they aren't hungry!!

Also means me and dh can order a curry later;)

    :( Back...

Well she is definately a she which is lovely to know :)

But she decided to squish her face up against the placenta, of move her cord in front of her face, or put her hands there!! Naughty girl! ;)

But it was really lovely. We got to see her playing with her feet with her fingers. :) I'll get some photos and the video up for people to have a nose at if they like. :)

She was a lovely lady though. Because she was a naughty wotsit the Lady said we can go back for a second scan for free so hopefully she plays nicely then :D

Redmel apparently they have changed the design of the nappy and have not told anyone about it the old nappy used to have padding all the way up the back the new ones dont it stops about 2/3 of the way along and a lot of parents are finding that they leak. Watchdog put it to them that it was just a cost cutting excersise hence why they have kept quiet about it they are denying this and stateing it is a better design even though there is a massive stink going on in america with there alternative to active fit for exactly the same reason.

For the time being the parents on there are advising not to buy them as you cant tell which packs have the new design and which have the old. Me thinks they will loose a hell of alot of sales over this one me included i love the activfit nappies but with no padding up the back they are bound to leak especially when baby is laying down to sleep :-(

Thanks Xmas - I only actually use Baby-Dry so didn't realise! I have looked at the active fit a few times but never tried them, I definitely won't bother now...will just stick with what I know works:)

Nene - naughty baby! Least you get a free scan:)

I have been so tempted to book a 3/4D scan, bit late now anyway but would have been nice to see baby again and maybe confirm gender!
