it'd only be weird if they were all the same size CL LOL

God only knows where I would store 800 nappies.... reckon we've got probs 400 here....

KK - Also meant to say do you have a Poundworld near you? They (well the one near me at least) has canvasses in, a3 size, for, you guessed it £1!

Also they are selling the Johnsons Soothing Naturals body wash and lotion which I've just seen on Asda website is £2.97 a bottle! SHOCKING!!!

Hi everyone, you have been busy talking :) will catch up again lol. When i went to the hospital yesterday i found out that i can have a natural birth, i thought that as i have had two c - sections that i would have to have another c -section, but apparntley it has now changed and they are letting women choose. I have at the moment said i would like to have a c-section, i didn't have time to really think about it, felt put on the spot by the question.

Now i am thinking about having a natural birth but to be honest am a bit scared about it, as i had a tramatic time when i did have a natural birth and i was induced. I think the inducing made it worse.

Has anyone had a c section then gone on to have natural birth. Also if i do have the natural birth, i would really like to try and avoid having a epidural. How affective are ten machines. Do water births help. Has anyone got any tips please for a natural birth as iam going towards this.
    Hi moneysaver
I went for a vbac lasttime ( i had had a previous c-section) however, it didn't happen (i began to bleed ) and i ended up with another c-section.
If going for v-bac there are a few rules,

they will not induce you (you must go into spontaneous labour)
they will not allow you to labour for too long (not sure how long is too long but i am assuming over 8 hrs) and will want you in hosp pretty much as soon as you start having contractions.

You will not be allowed a water birth as you will be monitored constantly so must stay on the bed (this is so they will have an early indication of any problems).

I really wanted a v-bac last time as my first c-section was very traumatic, but as it turned out it was very lovely and a wonderful experience, i am going straight to c-section this time, have had two disappointing labours which ended in c-sections so think i have 'done my bit'.

Can i ask what your motives are in wanting a v-bac (not being nasty just interested if same as mine).
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.

    I've about 160 size 1s (4-11 lbs). At 10 a day about 16 days worth.
    About 100 size 2s (7 -13lbs). Another 10 days worth.
The rest are Size 3 (9-20 lbs). At 7 a day, just over 2 months worth.

    Does this sound about right?

My friend has a 1 year old who is a big baby (9 lb at birth) and she said he was in size 3 from about 1 month until 6 months.

I'm hoping to buy everything whilst working and being paid, as my employer only pays SMP.

There's a poundland about 30 miles away, prob won't be going there til next month but I shall keep an eye out for canvasses, OH has told me not to start them until I'm on leave (I do get bored very easy!) it's amazing the stuff you can get in these £1 shops, I bought some shampoo recently from one and that was £2.59 in tescos! I get so annoyed sometimes living here, everything is so much more expensive, unless I travel 30miles, I know not far but I have to drive, can't walk, so it's fuel, parking and whatever else I get tempted to buy!

Pleased with myself this week, with the probs with my bank account I started the week with £30, I've managed to buy enough food to cover the week (mainly pasta and spuds and salad) and put fuel in car without needing anymore money. Got my new card thru but now to scared to use it!

With the terry squares you can use any wraps as those plastic pants are horrible things and don't let the skin breathe at all. Also instead of safety pins you can get the nappi nippa's now which are much less fiddly and no chance of pricking bubs :D

They are def the cheapest option and like the prefolds I had, they are really quick drying. I never got on with the disposable liners (well my DD's bum didn't, she would get a rash from them, but loads of other people I know have got on fine with them!)

Kitkat- sorry again for my mix up, not sure why I thought you were Xmas! Duh! :)

Just been on my shopping spree and got all the extra bits i needed for my hospital/ HB bag, and also got some cute socks for bubs. I bought my boring stuff like cotton wool and the amazing lansinoh too! It was actually quite fun being able to shop for this bubba for once, now just to make some sense of my list I have made and pack it all in the bag, may have to wait until Tue though as we are away this weekend! :)
