and then.... we felt it kick! she's 15+4 and we definately definately felt it kick from putting a flat hand on her tummy. I didnt think you were able to from this early so we're now thinking they may have her dates wrong?
this is ace - AND I WANNA FEEL MY BEAN
(hmmm, does that sound rude )
Had scan.:(:(
The usual.
Not allowed any more scans now cos I've had too many.
hugs smartie - sorry you didnt get what you wanted
what do they mean by 'had too many'? is this because of NHS 'allowence' or is it not good for the bean?louise540056 wrote: »Hi Girls- I am going to very nervously ask if I can join you in here! Oh has put in his paternity leave request and he is being refused on the basis that my 15th week started on the 12/05 and they didnt receive the letter untiul the 14/05 due to royal mail being slow it was posted on 10/06 by recorded delivery.
Now the business link website states that notification has to given by the end of the 15th week before the baby is due so if im due on the 25/08 i calculate that i was 25wks pregnant on the 12/05 which would be the start of my 15th week so the latest they could receive the paperwork is the 18/05 which would be the last day of my 15th week. Now am i right or ami reading that completely wrong ?????
Hmmmm - I think they are being pedantic to the nth degree here!! Has the letter come from HR? I would suggest that you have a word with them if not or if it has try either DWP or the maternity allience - hth -Think I should have read this further before I posted - lol
Well, being for my '12' week scan today - was a bit naughty and didnt tell them about the private one we had otherwise they wouldnt have scanned me
Other than a complete palava with my blood tests I was pretty impressed with the 'service'
Dates have moved forward by a whole day so our official due date is now 16th Novemeber
Have my 20 week scan booked for the end of June but the consultant has referred this to be done by a Dr and not the sonographer as DD2 was born with two congential birth defects.
Also have to go for a glucose (sp) test at 26 weeks!!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many appointments!!
Hope all are well

xmas what a pain, I am sure they will have to comply if you start to make a fuss and show the evidence etc. If he has a union get the rep involved.
I have just checked that info and am now a bit worried! I have to give notice of my mat leave by 19th June but I don't see midwife again and therefore get MATB1 form until 26 weeks which is 25th June! I'll have to phone her I guess. Has anyone else had this? Do I need the MATB1 to do everything? I have already given them preliminary notice but will try and talk to HR tomorrow I guess!
DH won't have any probs unless he has moved jobs, it's a smallish place and should be straightforward - what do men have to do for pat leave? Is there any forms to fill in etc? I have no idea about this stuff. Do anyones DHs get paid for pat leave, know mine doesn't according to policy (and they only pay stat mat leave as its a charity) but I've told him to ask anyway as I think they probably will if he asks (boss really rates him!)
smartie - so sorry you didn't get a pic, at least bubs is active! someone to join me on team yellow though!
sir monster - I have been starting to worry too about my scan on monday, but DH said the same as confuzzled, no point worrying and last scan was ok.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
tigtag I have to have the GTT too, about 25 weeks I think.
we are going to the opera tonight, wonder if bubs will hear it?! I am currently sat in bubs' room and its lovely in here, not nursery like yet really but its a nice room (apart from being a bit noisy thanks to the noisy women in the shop downstairs) and the sofa we've moved in here will be perfect for feeding!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Rach you should be ok as long as you get a letter to your HR by that date and state that the matb1 form will follow as soon as you receive it from the midwife. Give your HR a call and just confirm but thats what ive done as i dont see my midwife again until im 28wks :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Hi tigtag and ethelsmum, why do you need the gtt if you dont mind me asking? Did you not have one at 16 weeks as well? I have one booked for 16 weeks but if its negative then I have to go for one at 28 weeks as well. I've had gestational diabetes twice before so fully expect the same this time.
I'm rubbish at lurking!0 -
Glad scan went well Tigtag. I'm also having the glucose test - booked in for mine at 28 weeks.
there was a lady at clinic today who got 'told off' for going shopping in her two hour wait - to be fair it does quite clearly state on the forms in big red letters not to do this and stay within the dept - the lack of common sense in some people astounds me!!
