With the first one it is exciting as you get to buy lot's of lovely baby stuff, but this time round we have everything we need, so I just have to go shopping for boring stuff like breast pads, maternity pads, etc blah blah!!
ETA: Also have decorating to do in hallway and bathroom but will have to wait until we have some spare cash for paint to match the wallpaper I got. It is cath kidston style roses on light blue background (so obviously just going on one wall as it would be a bit lairy on all) It is lush and best of all was £2 for 6 rolls! Bargain!!!
Try getting to number 9 and having to buy EVERYTHING again!!
My bathroom just needs emptying of junk and a good scrubbing!!.. And the hole in the wall fixing!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Argos do some good deals on mattress, quite often half price - got a silentnight pillow topped double for £115 inc del which I though was good
CAFC poundland have some good deals on padded envelopes if you have one nearby ( I quite often use a good quality shopping bag, like next etc if the items isn't breakable & had no complaints yet ) + I also recycle all envelopes of things I buy and ask family for there used padded envelopes saves a fortune
Isn't it funny how no-one seems to be using the HIP Grant for healthy food etc ( I'm being greedy and using mine for a spa day as I have a big birthday this year and will be the size of a whale )Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
MLSL - I think you and I are the same person the past few days LOL Thats exactly where I plan on going, for my pots and envelopes! Was checking their website last night and they look like they should have some nice stuff in.
And surely a spa day is covered as "health in pregnancy"??????Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

I buy healthy food anyway!
The mattresses are from ebay, we can get memory foam ones for under £80 each.
My mattress is a memory foam one from ebay and its great :rotfl: DD3 especially loves my bed so she will be happy.
DD1 already has an orthapedic mattress that came with her bed (which was £80 from barnados ) so we'll all be sorted then.

Please read the mattress threads before you even consider buying a mattress from Argos. And especially from any member of the Silentnight group (which includes Rest Assured, Sealy, Layezee, and The Pocket Sprung Bed Company).0 -

Thank god we have a half decent benefit system in the UK ( in comparison to some less well off countries )
Just hope OH keeps his job otherwise I am better off quiting my job as we would be better off on benefits which to me makes no sense! I am sorry to hear about your work, my work is dependant on funding and atm we hav enough funding to take us to xmas, so i probably wont even have a job to come back to!0 -

I would like to do the pain mangament ones, that prepare you for the birth etc
I know I've already had three but my experiences in the labour ward were quite traumatic and I'd like things to be a bit more relaxed this time!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
