i cant seem to find any bootsales near us, drives me insane.
charity shops - independant ones i find have the best bargainsWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Yeah freecycle, carboots, NCT sales and charity shops are the way forward. We got most of DD's stuff (that will be used again with this one) second hand, although most of it looked brand new. A lot of the newborn stuff is unworn too as you end up with so much and they grow out of it quickly.0

Does anyone know if it absolutely has to be original payslips for claiming MA? I cant find a few of them and my work have printed out copies off the system so i wonder if its ok to send those in instead? they are exactly the same just on A4 paper! this is sooo confusing!!0

Never mind!! Ha just read on the form 'if you do not have original payslips you can get in touch with emplyer for copies' Phew i get in such a tizz sometimes!!
I think i exxaggerated before i dont need EVERYTHING ha i just need what seems like a lot! I have a new carseat (present off MIL) and my mum is buying us a babyswing( i had one for DS but then sold it when he outgrew! Silly me could kick myself but nvm!). I still have a bouncer, baby bath, moses basket, walker, and a load of little toys and a freind is getting us a play arch/gym which is really nice of her. but i need a double buggy which is a big expense and a new cot, my DS's cot was second hand of my cousing but tbh its proven to be quite flimsy, my son likes to stand up in it and shake the sides and the amount of times its come apart and we have had to fix it and screw it and wood glue it is unreal! So we just want to get rid off that once DS is in his bed which should be soon, We also had a second hand pram last time and that fell to bits as well, both from mamas and papas which says it all their quality is a joke!!
Anyway past experiences has really put us (mainly OH) off anything big thats second hand cos we just dont want anything else falling to bits and having no warranty e.c.t. i know most second hand can be great but its just our experiences IYSWIM. the fact the stuff was off family as well and still ended up being rubbish really put me off.
So anyway we have to buy a cotbed and mattress a double buggy and new bed and mattress for DS quite soon! so while only a few items they can just add up.0 -

Well if we can't be open about gobbling whilst we're pregnant when can we?!!!:o
Oh and I gained a partial prolapse after 2nd you can have either the vaginal wall prolapse or tuther side leaning in, nice!!! TMI - Things can get a little stuck:eek:, was going to get it done but we decided to try for my 3rd, OH's first got caught just like that so am now going to get it sorted next year and I'll really need it after my third :rotfl:, but need to give myself time to recover from sprout WHEN it arrives
Hi BSM- I didn't find it uncomfortable or painful at all. Couldn't believe she'd done it and she really did have a good feel about cos she felt babies face and was able to tell me baby is facing wrong way and is back to back (my other 3 all were too)
Thanks so much for the reassurance about the prolapse thingy, I had already told DH before I expected to end up like it as my mum did (although she had a full/severe prolapse) and somehow just knew It'd happen to me one day, just didn't expect it when I'm only 30:o
Appreciate the reassurance though :A
I've been having some tightenings but nothing regular at the mo, I've also had a show and a bit of a dicky belly so am expecting things to kick off before induction on mon :j
Thanks for all the lovely vibes xBusy mummy of 4.:j0 -
Had my midwife appt today, starting to find these very pointless! My MW barely spoke and just measured me and said I'm measuring spot on 26 weeks so can't change my due date (I was measuring 1week 4 days over what I am on the last scan) I asked her about OH lack of immunisations and she couldn't answer said for me to ask health visitor. She did give me my health in pregnancy grant form and my mat b1 so that's good. For some reason I assumed mid wives were friendly and offered guidance and support to nervous mums to be, but I feel there is none of this, are my expectations too high?!
I'm lucky as my local car boots started 2 weeks ago and are only about 20mins drive from me. There is a MASSIVE one about an hours drive away, I've heard it's worth the journey but you need to be there 7am and I can't be bothered to leave the house 6am on a Sunday, tomorrow will be hard enough with the local one leaving 7.30am, I sound so lazy!0 -

Im claiming MA so may have some questions for you ha! thanks for offering help!!
CAFC- I know what you mean its just getting to the end and being at home it can get on top of you especially with having other worries as well. i was the same first time round when i went on mat leave at 29 weeks, OH at work all the time so i was bored Sh!tless and was really mopey! It will go fast though and you will soon have bubs to make you all smiley!
My OH is the same he will sit there on the computer for hours and although there might not be much else to do it really irritates me!
Were having a few money issues as well with is poo! Just in the middle of trying to sort out my claim for MA and surestart grant, got EVERYTHING to buy for baby cos most stuff from DS needed replacing and still having got my tax credits renewal through which is annoying me so much as there should be a significant increase now due to my income no longer being counted this tax year as i dont work anymore, just hope it come through soon!!
hope everyone is ok and good luck Choccy!!

They should be fine as long as your company has endorsed them.

Olipops have a look at ikea for cheap but sturdy cot i had one from there with DS1 as we were on a very tight budget and the one we had for DD fell apart (it was second hand too). They are nothing special to look at and the sides dont go up and down but it was rock solid once put together and i think in total at the time it cost me about £60 with the mattress It probably gone up a little since then but they are still cheap :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Nothing happening here, I had a bath before bed last night and all kind of tightenings seemed to stop! Grr, I am thinking of giving up bathing as this seems to happen whenever things look promising. Still keeping positive though as with dd2 I went into labour 36 hrs after a sweep...fingers crossed.
Hope everyone has a good day today, weather sh***y here today, suprise, suprise.Busy mummy of 4.:j0
