hi all
just to say I won't be around for a couple of weeks as we're going on holshope everyone has a good couple of weeks and chokky that the baby comes sooon!!
Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
moneysaver12 - I find it sooo frustrating that my local hospital seem to think that I can drop everything and fly to every appointment they make me at a few days notice - presently I am still working (about 4 weeks til birth as I'm likely to be induced) - it's a good job I get paid weekly, as I'd never be able to budget for all these trips to the L&D! Some of which it has to be said, you think 'that was it?' when you just get your blood pressure & wee checked...0

Hello everyone:wave:
Labour vibes to Choccy!!!
Congratulations to Hassle on getting married!!! Nice to see you on team blue too, there was a lot of team pinks a couple of weeks ago so maybe we can start a blue trend:D
If someone could give me a blue symbol next to my name I'd be very grateful, otherwise I'll have to try myself and I don't know how that might turn out:o
Courgette - (((hugs))) to you, it sounds awful, wish I could offer something more productive than a hug and sympathy.
ClareEmily - I can't offer any practical advice and you've had some great advice already (I love reading everyone's advice on here as I'd never think of it myself!) but just want to say you're not being ungrateful, you're allowed to feel how you want about the clothes etc, and it's not like you're saying anything negative to her you're thinking of her feelings so don't tell yourself you're ungrateful.
Looks like we're starting on our nursery soon:D:D There's a few more bits to clear out then I'll give it a clean and it'll be ready to decorate. I've always wanted a yellow colour for it, but since finding out about our blueness I've been swayed by the marketing in the Dulux colour guide and we're going for mainly yellow with a blue band at the top, with the colours separated by shelves on one wall (OH is handy at these things). Anyone with a Dulux colour guide its on page 14!! Though I'm sure our nursery won't end up looking as perfect as that picture! Then for bedding I've decided against a coordinated set as they're so expensive and will get some nice colourful sheets, blankets and sleeping bags instead.
Hope you all have a lovely day and weekend (and that you all have monday off too!), its sunny here currently though I don't think it's supposed to last.
ETA - forgot to say - have a lovely holiday Rach!! Don't overdo the walking!!0 -

Choccybikkie - sending lots of labour vibes your way
Just had a massive hormal breakdown, just couldn't stop crying. Hubby is in the pub but home soon, had to get DS to the bus stop so he could go to see his dad. DS wanted to go tomorrow so I had to do lots of nagging. I feel like a right !!!!! now but I really need some peace. I've been fine today with the SPD until about 90mins ago when it just became such agony. I'm trying to be cheerful and remain positive but you know how we have this image of ourselves and our lives? Well mine doesn't involve me being on crutches and where the tiniest of task is a huge effort. That's no offence to anyone in that situation but there is nothing in my background that prepared me for this and I can't stand feeling so helpless. I keep trying to tell myself that I'll get used to it and I'll adapt and it's only temporary but right now I'm really hungry and I just don't have the energy to make some food. People keep asking me when I'm going on mat leave and I really wanted to stay to the end of term cos this is best for everyone but I just don't know. I keep saying just focus on tomorrow but I'm only 24 weeks and I don't know how I'm supposed to cope with this pain for another 3 1/2 months. Sorry, just feel so upset and so fed up. The house is filthy and I just don't want to live in !!!! for the next 3+months. I don't want to start ML too soon and be at home, lonely and in pain. I just don't know what to do
Hugs :A
I can't do f all at the moment and we're basically living in a shithole at the moment:o People are telling me I'm going to have to make sure I don't do anything now and relax... but sitting on my backside doing nothing sounds crap to me. I am going to have to go on maternity leave early... although I work from home BUT yesterday proved to me I can't be 30 odd weeks, feeling like shit and running around do a big order, getting it to PO or a shop.
Even feeding the cats this morning made me see "lights" spinning around:o
When it comes to housework maybe you can join me in setting yourself a little task or small list of tasks to do. Kind of "flylady" style but on a MUCH smaller level.
If you do go on ML early think of a hobby you could start, or start reading trashy romance novels!!:rotfl:
Oh and also join me in getting pissed off when people say "oh but it'll be all worth it in the end";)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Smartie.. I am getting very pee'd off with people telling me to stop doing so much.. if I don't do it.. who the heck will? Amazing how as soon as you are pregnant everyone and his dog has an opinion on what you should or should not be doing.. any other time I'd be getting.. 'it is such a tip in here'.. 'how can you find anything in this mess'.. I start doing something about it and I get 'you need to stop/you need to rest'.. IMO, they should all butt out and as long as you feel able to do what you can go for it..
I cannot carry the vacuum cleaner or the full wash baskets up and down stairs.. so I ask someoen else to do it.. it doesn't mean I can't fill the washer or vacuum the landing though... Just be sensible!
We become 'viable' this Tuesday so I am looking forward to hitting that 'milestone'
This month I WILL have my bedroom decorated.. if it kills me!!
Next month I will clean the house from top to bottomous and get all the baby stuff washed etc.. and buy the school uniform for September..
THEN we can have the baby!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Smartie, I'll join you in doing the small list of tasks, my house looks like a bomb has hit it, where I have been away. And all I want to do it bury my head in the sand.
It may not be much consolation, and yes you can shout at me for saying it, but it will be worth it. You will have a beautiful bubs in the end. Just try and ignore others, and remember you are the no. 1 priority. So trashy novels is the best remedy. Hope you can relax.0 -
pigpen at what week do you become 'viable'? That means it can live outside the womb doesn't it?0

Afternoon all!!
Hope you enjoy your hols Rach we are off tomorrow too so won't be on, hope choccy has baby whil we are away.
Re housework I find it hard enough non pregnancy so is even harder now, but I like smartie's idea re doing little things rather than maybe trying to do everything and ensure that your DH's help out!! (Mine is actually a lot better than me for doing housework)
Went to a NCT relax/breath/yoga type session this morning which was lovely to relax and meet some other mums to be. I think we all need some time for ourselves.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

24 weeks.. though babies have survived younger.. many hospitals refuse to even try to save them before this point.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
