Cafc nightmare appointment - I don't see mine until next Monday as they only run the clinic on a Monday and its closed for bank holiday. Did she say which way baby was positioned after all that proding?

Xmas, I know, some of them awful. We've got a couple of old boys (one's 90), who come into work, and they're adorable. Always cheerful and friendly, and I know they've both had rough lives, they make up for the horrible ones.

CAFC, glad you're feeling happier, treats are good.

well apparently his head is now floating somewhere above my pelvis (her words!)..... but i wouldnt be surprised if he's changed his mind after all that drama!

I am 20 weeks tomorrow :j:j:j:j Half way there yeah!!!
I have my scan tomorrow and we are not planning on finding out the sex - I just hope I don't give in when I get there :D

I'm seeing loads of cute clothes but its always pink or blue. I have bought the "I love mummy" sleepsuit from Next for £5 and thats very cute. Might even buy the daddy one too. I don't like a lot of the unisex clothes so just going to buy white sleepsuits and then send dp out to get some pink/blue stuff once baby has arrived.

    Evening ladies.

Been away for the last week, and its taken me hours to catch up.
Welcome to all the graduates and congrats Gill.

Got married last Saturday and had 22 week scan today, so been very busy!. Am on team blue. Hubby was so excited that they did a pic of the evidence just for him!:D
Can someone update me on the list, as have no idea of how to do it.

I remember someone mentioning an Anterior placenta (pigpen?) what does this actually mean? My print out from scan says I have an Anterior high placenta.

it means you usually feel fewer movements and not until later than you would otherwise.. so if you don't feel a lot of movement.. this is why!

Anterior means it is on the front of your uterus rather than the back and high means it is not near the cervix so developing placenta praevia is unlikely as this is more common with anterior placentas.

This is the second of mine I have had anterior placentas with.. but I only found out that this is what I had with DD2 (now almost 13!!) when i found my antenatal notes last week!

So.... how do I wake little bean up???

    I'm now convincing myself I haven't felt him today:o

And I'm fed up with being team yellow. If anyone comes across something nice in team yellow please let me know. I always see nice things for team pink and blue.

I thought I had an appointment at hospital on weds but they'd not cancelled it, so while I was there the midwife asked if everything was ok & I mentioned I hadn't felt much movement lately & she sent me upstairs for a trace where they ask you to click every time you feel movement, while you can hear the heartbeat. It was good - it showed that all was ok, & that I need to take the time to sit down for half an hour in the quiet & try to count movements. :)

If you're very worried, pop to the maternity ward, or try to count for yourself for 30 mins?

ps Asda has got their baby event on again, and there are loads of white outfits like sleepsuits & starter packs for a few quid. :) You can always search on ebay by outfit colour too; "white baby sleepsuit" etc. Being team blue, & with aaaaagh 4 weeks -ish to go, I tend to search for "baby boy bundle" "baby boy lot" ;)
