thanks all
Its comforting to know other people feel like that, and for already mums to say they felt like that, and continue to with subsequent pregnancies.... albeit with a few different worries added to the pot.....
1more - did they mark in your notes on the chart where you were measuring? Someone said as long as you're in the grey shaded area, you shouldnt worry too much..... but i freak out every time i get measured.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Lots of mums-to-be are scared, regardless of whether or not it's #1. I think it's just what worries you that changes. For me I'm a bit worried about how DS (aged 12 ) will adapt. When I was on the delivery ward on Friday night I definitely felt scared when I heard a woman a few rooms down yelling her head off. Right now I'm scared of this SPD and how it will progress. Speaking of which, thanks for all the helpful advice; it's nice to know I'm not alone with this. I ended up leaving school early today because I overdid it by teaching all morning. I'm trying to be positive and think that I now realise that even if I sit down as much as possible, 3 hours in a row is too much.
Got my MATB1 through the post today, my mw has put the wrong date on it, 25th Aug not 18th. What do I do? I've already handed in my notice to work saying my due date is 18th. As I'm a teacher I will be paid in the hols as normal up until either due date or delivery as long as I'm still there at the end of term. It's effectively an extra week ML at full pay!
You say nothing you hear me? nothing..... :AMFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
Hi everybody
congratulations Gill &welcome baby x
CAFC-My baby is a first baby aswell. We have decided on just the one for us after discussing my back problems and difficult pregnancy.
I had my first physio today- Have been given crutches and lots of advice about propping myself up with cushions, mobility and turning in bed etc.Physio lady was nice and quite shocked when she saw the state of my back.Hubs wasn't allowed inside with me .I felt:o as had to undress so she could have a look at my back and leg, I forgot that I only managed to wax one leg lastnight and fell asleep-so there I was having a serious conversation with unmatching undies and 1 hairy leg. Then bump decided to wriggle into a strange shape.I have to go again in 2 weeks:eek:Love can tame the wildest0 -
about the wrong date or the fear? :cool:Updating soon...0

Weeee. I'm booked in for my 4D scan at 4pm Friday 21st May
It's going to be so great. We can confirm the sex (I'd laugh if she turns out to be a boy as I've come round to the idea now :rotfl: ) And get loads of pics and a dvd of her
Can't wait.
The funny thing is this bean loves rock music. Keeps kicking me while I'm listening to Within Temptation. :rotfl:
Oh god....DD has just done a stinker! *Sick face*What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
I wouldn't worry too much about the tape measuring especially if it was a different midwife from your usual one.I was 28 weeks and a different midwife measured me at 37 weeks, she obviously didn't find the topof the fundus or whatever it's called.
Anyhow I'm at the midwifes tomorrow and will be asking if my constant feeling like I've been kicked in the foof is that pds/psd/spd,can't for the life of me remember which way the letters go?
Congratulation to Gill hope you get plenty of rest.
