do any of you experienced ladies have any advice on getting a breast pump? I am not sure whether I should get one, and what sort to get. I've found the tommy tippee electric one at a reasonable price linky...friend might have one I can borrow but not sure, obviously I'll find out first!

def overdid it this morning, think I'll go for a snooze for a bit!

rach, I would leave it before buying a breastpump... My brother and SIL just had a baby and bought a pump even after I'd leant them mine... 3 weeks down the line and the baby is fully formula fed so it was a waste of money for them...

If you breastfeed and get it well established and decide to express, then buy a pump.... If you need to express for comfort when your milk first comes in the the hospital should show you how to hand express... A lot of people often find that more effective than with a pump...

It's the same price at Tesco and you can use the double up vouchers. Unfortunately it's out of stock online on Tesco Direct, but it might be in your local store. I doubled up to get the online Tesco Direct Baby & Toddler vouchers and by the time I got the vouchers home it was out of stock.

you can pick brand new ones up on ebay - I had the manual tommee tippee pump and thought it was excellent but I am considering trading up to electric this time to make it quicker!!!!

My OH is on his PS3 again, I am so sick of this. I may consider smashing it if he keeps this up when the baby is here. Wish this baby would get moving feeling huge and fed up today, already had a crying fit! OH just laughs at me, so mean.

My sis has been to c me which is nice, bought me some biscuits and cake that I can't eat with my toothache! But it was sweet of her.

Rach re: breast pumps might be worth waiting until BFing is established like I think Krystal said. I've got the TT manual one as it was on offer for £10 but knowing me I won't be able to use it. I've heard some people say it can take upto 6 weeks to successfully express (not sure if this is correct)

Ok how can I get this baby out: pineapple hasn't worked, DTD is out of question, I've bounced for weeks and nothing, clary sage does nothin, nipple stimulation nothing, spicy food nothing, walking hurts and then nothing! Any ideas!?

I've tried nipple stimulation with breast pump and shower, clary sage in bath, on bump and in diffuser. Endless walking. Bouncing. Lavender. Rlt. Dh is threatening to lie down naked with legs in the air and tempt out with kids sweets !!! I guess they won't come until they are ready, like everyone keeps reminding me !

Power of thought;)

Get yourself in a hypnotic/chilled out state and picture your baby moving on down.

But do remember that the little buggers like to come when they're good and ready!!
