Eviction of baby is a difficult thing. curry is only supposed to work because to can trigger diawoowoo which then irritates the uterus enough to contract and start contractions. Anyfoods you know would make you like that then try it.

cant believe im so close to due date now, getting very scary.

furniture should finally be coming on monday for nursery and that should be us sorted.
really peed off with m+p though as we also got a crib from them and when oh put it together last week it has dents in the top so i complained and they sent us another one which oh then had to spend time putting together today. now just need to phone them and get them to pick up first one! oh says we should wait 3 months then not be in the first time, see how they like it! dont think we will use them again for anything.

I have the manual tommy tippee one but only because it came in the bundle with the sterilizer, it actual looks like it would be useless at express milk but then I may think that because I was attached to the electric one at the hospital when I had DD and was suffering with incredible pain latching her on. They said try to express some to give her and let me have a break after 20 minutes of some very strong sucking there must have been about 10 ml. No wonder DD was also sucking really hard. Hopefully if this is a boy he'll be nice and gentle like DS was and I'll be more relaxed about top up feeds this time, give top ups to keep their blood sugars up and continue to breast feed whilst waiting for the milk to come in. unless its painful in which case I'll not bother, it is not worth the pain.

Hi all

Just to let you know I had a text from sir monster, unfortunately they've readmitted her as her bp is unstable, hopefully just overnight to sort the meds out and get it sorted. Not sure if she has laptop with her or not, she'll keep me posted if not I'm sure.

Thanks for the advice re breastpump, I think I will leave til I know what's happening, must chase up whether friend has hers to lend or not.

KK & MLSL - no tips I'm afraid, am guessing babies don't want to come into this grey cold rainy day!

KK My Dh is also on PS3, playing Red Dead Redemption, the gunshots make bubs go mad, think he/she must feel the bass! To be fair though he hasn't been on it long and has been a star with my dad here, came into town with me to see them off despite the new pc having majorly glitched just before...he finally rang the support line and has uninstalled whatever driver we hope was causing the problem!!

First load of baby stuff is in washer, all newborn stuff, having sorted it all into newborn and 0-3 months decided to keep it that way!

Hosp bag half packed, need to put baby stuff in and wash the new nighties I bought. Am trying to fit everything in one sports bag, with a backpack which will have books, snacks, ipod etc in.

So far I have:

towel & hair towel, facecloth
wash stuff - shower gel, facewash, toothbrush & paste, moisturiser, 2 in 1 shampoo decanted into small bottle, deoderant, small pack wipes, hand gel
hair clip & 2 hair bands
breast pads
mat pads - 1 pack large, 1 pack slimline
pyjamas
2 nighties
2 pairs socks
6 pairs primark granny pants
dressing gown

baby:3 sleepsuits
3 vests
2 hats
2 cardigans
1 blanket
1 little jacket in case cold coming out
mittens
bag cotton wool
sample pack wipes
10 nappies
2 bibs, 2 muslins
vaseline

stuff in italics I have but still needs washing or putting in!

any thoughts?

lol ok!! It's cos I've hardly spent anything I think and so am suddenly looking for things to buy. Hopefully doing the baby washing will meet the same urge!
