Thanks for birthday wishes. Before pregnancy had planned on having a party for 30th but that planned changed just in case baby decided to make an early appearance.
We have a booked a nice hotel for 2 nights and will have a meal there tonight, have an upgraded room so should get a nice comfy bed although will be hoping for a nice loo as seem to spend more time in the loo than bed at night at the moment!!0 -
Happy Birthday Freebie :T and good luck for today Smartie!
Well it's DD1's party today, thankfully I've got till 6 to clean this hell hole and make loads of sandwiches. I need to brave the shower, I haven't felt stable enough to try it, it's hard enough to stay upright on a dry surface with gripCan't run a birthday party smelling like a tramp though!
Going to put myself on the nurses call back list, to have a listen to the baby and see if the GP thinks it's normal to have a warm numb left side and have to walk like quasimodoMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I have a hen night to go to tonight, can't see me staying late to be honest, lol I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow
Some very strange dreams last night, that made me sit bolt up right in bed. My hubby is suspicious when I want DTD, he says is it just to bring on labour? to which I reply of course not dear:A

Thanks for information on mamu packs seems to be a few stockists online and some let you have it free with a min order of £20-£30 others let you order and just pay postage and others charge for it plus postage.
best one I found was this site http://www.daisychainbaby.co.uk/ where its £2.50 inc postage and can pay via paypal, as well as normal payment methods which was handy.
I just thought for £2.50 would like to see what its like in comparison to the so far rubbish bounty type packs recieved from emmas diary and maternity type services. The midwife who did my antenatal classes said midwifes hate the bounty packs and dont actually promote them! I have an email address for the booking service for ante-natal classes so may email the mamu pack details to her via that.0 -

Thanks so much for this! I'm also going to try to do the sustainable/ washable nappies approach (though with disposables for first week or so while we get used to all the poo etc). Have bought some nappies but gave no idea what else is out there so this should give me a vetted idea :-)0 -
