ROTFL....love it...
And my..so many responses to an original post only a day ago..!
Good luck to them i say...and dont even think that they are an unusual case,a glitch in the system...for they are not.
I can assure you.
We have our own home grown British parasites..and we also import them.
Do you know..Joe and Joella public..that whilst you were freezing your nuts off this past winter, tweaking your roomstat down to save money, and going out to flog your tripe to pay your bills,,that support workers were visiting immigrant/asylum seekers homes and topping up their prepay gas/elec meters so that they could keep warm??
Yes..only it Britain..the workers freeze whilst the f*eckless warm their backsides and peer out the windows at you suckers walking through the cold, snow and rain to work..
Hahahahaahahahahahahaha..................
But it doesnt have to be that way you know....
Labour slogan...A fairer Britain for all.
It translates to..we will take money off YOU and give it to layabouts.
Does that sound fair?
You know it makes sense....for all our sakes..and to curb these obscenities....if you cant bring yourself to vote BNP..then tactically vote Tory to get these socialist trash out.
Remember Peter Lily who was social security minister under Thatcher..?

He knew how to make the parasites squeal...
Much remembered for his satirical adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan at the Tory Party conference
"I've got a little list
Of benefit offenders who I'll soon be rooting out
And who never would be missed
They never would be missed
There's those who make up bogus claims
In half a dozen names
And councillors who draw the dole
To run left-wing campaigns
They never would be missed
They never would be missed
Young ladies who get pregnant just to jump the housing list
And dads who won't support the kids of ladies they have ... kissed
And I haven't even mentioned all those sponging socialists
I've got them on my list
And there's none of them be missed
There's none of them be missed.
Nothing much has changed has it...??

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
Daily in my work I come across people who want more and more and more and know how to get it. A local trend is getting kids diagnosed for ADHD/ASD so you can claim DLA. Word spreads fast, certain GP's are favoured. This is not need it is GREED.
Not sure how this one works. As someone with a child possibly on the spectrum it taken 2 years seeing all sorts of people just to get a proper referral. You are not going to get a diagnosis from a GP.
As for the issue, I see many claimants for various things in the job I do. What I find is few genuine claimants claim for everything whilst the fraudlent claimant will claim for every little thing they can. This allows everyone to the tarnished with the same brush something we are seeing here. We need a system which allows the genuine claimants to claim and weeds out those who are just playing the system. Once we do that people who really need benefits will not feel embarrassed about claiming them and we can poosibly get rid of some of the extremist views we are seeing on this thread.
As for people having children just to get benefit, the wife has always said she did not believe this. The other day though she met someone who admitted she was trying to find a man just to get her pregnant as her youngest had reached the age where she would need to go out and look for work and she did not want to work!0 -
I thought it was pretty obvious that the OP was discussing 'scumbag' claimants and not 'legit' claimants.
The family who are the subject of the thread are wantonly claiming rather than working and have purposely chosen this as a career option.
The thing that winds everybody up is that they are rubbing our noses in it and shouting out loud how smart they are and that they intend to claim even more benefits !
I believe SingleSue that you are being over-sensitive BUT I can understand why. Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.0 -

Maybe they are doing everyone a favour by highlighting how the system is broken? They certainly won't be helping their cause and hopefully various benefit agencies will be re-assising if anything wrong has occured....0 -

One of the things I have noticed is that not long after any article like this, one member of the family is usually nicked for working cash in hand etc or doing something untoward !! I guess the press then keep a very close eye on them OR Joe Public gets so wound up by it that they dob them in !
Ie the couple in wife swap boasting about their benefits, some of the people involved with Shannon Matthews etc etcThanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.0 -
Yes benefit fraud and lazy people cost the country money and needs to be tackled over time, with measured policies rather than knee-jerk measures.
However, whilst the middle classes are fighting with the working and benefit classes the banker class have just committed the biggest fraud in history, walked off with immense personal wealth and landed the rest of us with a massive public debts. We need to stop the infighting and tackle them just as robustly.0 -

Agree
It took from age 2 and a half to age 6 and a half for middle son and from age 16 months to age 5, nearly 6 for youngest (and this was despite youngest being picked up as autistic like by a specialist at 16 months when we were at an appointment for middle son!)
And none were diagnosed by a GP...it was a whole raft of different specialists. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I have worked since I was 16, so think I have every right to get back SOME of what my husband and I have paid throughout the years!
I'd also like to add that my children will be brought up with the same work ethics as me, seeing their parents work hard and having to work to buy them things - therefore they will contribute into society....unfortunately I don't think these peoples 7-14 kids will have that opportunity, seeing as their parents are quite happy to take take take!
the woman was pregnant at 16 (and seems to have been pretty much since) and i'd imagine that for most women who are up the duff that much they don't work - it's just a case of whether partner or state supports.
the husband did actually used to work (so paid ni and tax) but decided it was more worth his while to go on benefits. the difference is you and your husband haven't done that. you've gone on working. why? the answer that is the most important question and the key to the problem i feel.
whilst it is easy to look at these people and think they have it sussed (in a warped kind of way), let's flash forward to their retirement or even when they become empty nesters. what are they looking forward to? and how does that compare to what you will have created for you and your family?
personally i think some sort of work for benefits scheme for long term claimants could work. but it has to be thought through and combined with other things. i think that includes maintaining and improving state education so that everyone has the chance of qualifications and training and also a ratio of available jobs (once unemployment reaches certain levels it is not fair to say it is a lifestyle 'choice'). so rights and responsiblities of the state and the individual need to go hand in hand.
a look at the lives of lifelong benefit claimants in retirement compared to those who have worked would also not be a bad thing. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

how come i work but can't afford 2k at xmas or drive two cars.
it is insanity. if idiotic filth like this keep having babies, they should have to live in a 2 bedroom flat and that is it. if they don't stop and it is unsafe, then they get their kids taken away.
this disgusting filth needs to learn a massive lesson. If I ran this country I would take everything from them and leave them with a 2 bedroom flat for which they will be eternally grateful for. They will be given child benefit for the first two kids and no more.
Lets see how many kids they have then. utter dirt.
I do wonder if restricting the benefit for children would restrict many unnessesary pregnancies, however as a relatively new parent, it does hurt and anger me how unloved and uncared for many children are.
Heard a story the other day of a disabled child (deaf and blind I understand) was left out all night in just a pair of socks, a dressing gown and a nappy. Found in the morning suffereing from hypothermia.
Disgraceful and makes me sick.
I feel for many children for whom have no option from the life they were born into.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

Drifting off topic slightly and a bit contentious but there is a trend to secure a variety of diagnosis and special treatment for children by certain parents. The whole ADHD issue is contentious and thats not i wish to kick start a debate on but i will say this...I know of a family where both adults are working, they have a nice big semi detached home in a nice area, run two cars, take foreign holidays etc etc..the usual picture but becuase they have a child with a diagnosis of ADHD,they suddenly get benefits AND..get this recently were offered a brand new heating system under warmfront as the child was apparently on a qualifying benefit..!Not sure how this one works. As someone with a child possibly on the spectrum it taken 2 years seeing all sorts of people just to get a proper referral. You are not going to get a diagnosis from a GP.
Now then...what is the link between a child having a diagnosis of a contentious condition and the long suffering taxpayer;
(a) paying out benefits becuase of it
(b) the taxpayer buying a new heating system becuase of it?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
