There's two issues going on here. The fact they took what was on offer, and the fact it was offered to start with - to my knowledge they have not broken any laws or claimed anything they were not 'entitled' to....

It is wrong to have a 'take' attitude on life, but given how most people are working harder than ever (I know I am!) for seemingly less, who is the mug here??
  • Not sure what your point is? (Not to mention that we now have to pay £2k ++ back) :p

    Not sure about my point?

You were sure enough to do a quick edit.

You complain about nearly every type of benefit & I dig out the fact you receive Tax Credits...

I expected nothing more from you.

Your random vile attacks appear to be getting more regular.

    Nice person.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    You don't fool me.

& by the way it wasn't just jews that were persecuted by the Nazis'.

It was pretty much anyone who was regarded as a drain on society.

I hope you reported the OP for saying he hoped the children of the scum were starved.

    But no Carolt.[STRIKE] I bet you didn't.[/STRIKE] Sorry, I KNOW you didn't.

Shame on you Carol. Shame on you.

I don't see where I or anyone else suggested that it was only Jews who were persecuted by the Nazis, or indeed why that should be remotely relevant.

I do think posting pictures of dead children to make a cheap point is rather sick, though.

If you want to view that as a "random vile attack" on your poor,, injured, innocent self, feel free.

I shall be sure to ignore your posts from now on.

A simple google search will clearly show that the countries with the highest birth rates have no benefits system at all... so withdrawing aid over here and letting people starve (like they would in many African countries) is likely to have the opposite effect.

I notice no-one has mentioned 'education' yet

The only way to sort this is to rebalance things.

Cut back the money these people get tremendously, and use that money to take more people out of the 1st tax band by raising the threshold.

    Change the mentality.

Are you a worker? You get subsidised cinema.
Worker? You get cheaper swimming, sports and other recreation.
Worker? Get lower car tax and insurance.

We have to make the lifestyle jobless envy and aspire to be like those in work, whatever their work.

I do accept this will impact genuine hardship cases. There will always be these, and somehow we need to cater and handle these exceptions.

Quick read, but yes. That is the question. Get that personal tax free allowance up. Let`s get a society that is keen to work because it pays.

    Cheap point?

You call dead people a cheap point?

    Ignore away Carol.

I look forward to the withdrawal of my post because you think it is a cheap point.

Er...that ignores the fact that those are undeveloped countries where the poor rely on basic agriculture, and so more workers = more food. Plus people choose to have a large family due to the high child mortality rates in these countries, sadly. Plus, dare I say it, knowledge about contraception, and its means, are hard to come by.

I doubt this couple lack the knowledge/means to avoid having babies, if they so choose.

    Educate who to do what?

educating kids who are brought up in the benefits culture to get out of it would be a start

Err isn't that the point, they would have to pay for childcare if they want that many children, why should I pay for their 7 kids to be looked after when I have enough trouble trying to pay for my own 2?!

so you pay for private education and paid for private birth and healthcare for your children do you? if not, then you are effectively getting a welfare benefit.

why did you have children if you can't afford to pay for their healthcare and education and expect those like me who don't have children and don't get child benefit or child tax credit to pay over the odds for it???

(i'm joking, i'm perfectly happy to pay taxes to support your kids in education and health)
