well, so much for DD's laptop being ok, flipping thing went again tonight. Its totally ruined. OH completely flipped out as DD tried to fix it herself cos she was scared of getting told off and the poor thing ended up making the situation a whole lot worse.

So, what does OH do?? He drags us all to the local PC World and buys DD a brand new (mega wicked) laptop:eek: it cost £400!!! have we got the money, no!!!! he put it straight onto his cc:mad: not happy at all.

However, we are still hoping that he will get his so called bonus he has been waiting for next month, so hopefully, I will be able to pay it straight off. Im am not holding my breath!!!!!!

I am not happy about this as I dont think its teaching DD anything at all. She has got no concept about money whatsoever, and OH is not a great role model either!!!!

Oh well, rant over. best go and set the damm thing up now!:(

    morning all,

well within 8 hours of that text I got from OH, he has gone back on his word and told me last night that he wants to get this bike he wants now:eek: I told him no way, I said you have gone back on your word. Its cos he has been offered more than he thought he would get on his old bike. I have told him again he wont get finance, I dont want anymore. He is so inpatient, it drives me mad. I found out that he is due a bonus from his work, hopefully in the next 2 months, so I said, why dont you just wait for that and then you can pay for the bike cash (see, Im even trying to compromise here). But at the moment he wont budge. We had yet another massive row last night, and DD told me last night she has had enough of us arguing. We have never ever gone to bed on an argument, we have always resolved things, not last night. We are now no longer on speaking terms. I am not backing down, I will fight this to the end, he will just have to learn to wait. He says Im telling him what to do, im not, I tried to explain that whatever I say, its all with the best intentions, I've got his best interests at heart. But he wont have it.

Half of me is very very angry, and the other half of me is sad cos I think that this could be the end of our marriage. I've had enough of being verbally attacked, everything is my fault. At this precise moment in time, I cant see a way forward for us.

I cant believe that a marriage that has lasted for such a long time, could end over a stupid lump of metal!

    catch up later guys xx

Hey there jc i have read your thread up until this post and i was going to wait to the end to reply, but couldn't let this pass. Your marriage isn't ending over a motorbike, your marriage is ending because your OH doesn't like tha tyou are standing up to him and that is making him a manipulative, nastym mean spirited son of a female dog....IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. Have you not noticed that whenever you stand up to him, he is all nice for a little while and then becomes nasty again? This is to confuse you and to keep him having the upper hand psychologically. He can't cope wth the idea that you might actually WANT to be treated as an equal, so he will use every trick in the book to put you back in the place he wants you to be, Ie subservient little thing, who lets him do whatever he wants no matter what the financial or emotional price. YOU ARE WORTH SO MUCH MORE THAN THIS!!!!! chev

I have decided that seeing as I am feeling that I cannot trust OH 100% (and he acts like a child) he can keep our joint current account and I am going to deposit money into it every month and that will be his spending money. And once its gone, its gone!! thats it. I am not prepared to bail him out anymore.

Not much else going on really, back on my course today, so I shall be off shortly.

Have a good day everyone, speak soon xx

And of course you will make sure that the bank has written instruction making it clear that the account isn't to have an overdraft on it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi JC, we haven't heard from you for a while. Are you ok and enjoying the generally hot weather? I hope you had a good half term with DD.

aww thanks. JC I hope things are ok with you. Don't take too long to make your escape plan, if my OH laid a hand on my child like yours did to your daughter he would be out and that would be it.

    Hi guys,

sorry I havent been around for a while, I have been so busy with my course, thank goodness its nearly over!!!!

Well, I am sad to say I havent sorted out the bank account. Its stupid I know, but I have promised myself to get it sorted out for definate this coming week. I have been really lapse this month I am ashamed to say. Money is really tight, and we dont get paid for another week and a bit:eek: been spending way too much money on food shopping and been having far too many takeaways. shameful. I have really let things slip, and I am desperate to get back on track.

OH has been getting away with murder with regards to money and its my fault. we are going to suffer for it now.

I guess, I have been feeling quite low and when im low, I spend for comfort. stupid really. Need to get myself sorted and start being strong again!!!!

Hope all is well with you all. Cant believe im awake this early, hayfever is giving me grief.

    speak soon xx
