Hang in there JC, there will probably be a fair bit of "nice cop nasty cop" stuff going on until things start to get moving, then "nice cop" will show his true colours! By then though you will be set on a course and will be seeing it through to its conclusion. Keep a written log of all the things he says and does, as you never know when you might need some evidence. It will also remind you of what is really going on, just in case he tries to sweet talk you out of ending the relationship. And make sure (if you haven't done so already) he does not access this site! Sorry if it all sounds so underhand and sneaky, but it is all a question of survival, you and your daughter's.

Hi Nargleblast, You are absolutely right of course. I must confess I have been keeping a diary for quite sometime now. I do read it every so often, and it does bring a tear to my eye. OH is definately not the man I married. Over the years the stress of having his own business has got to him (thats no excuse I know), I have seem the rapid way in which he has changed. That together with having ME/CFS has finished him off. He used to be such a happy go lucky kind of person, now he seems so bitter and angry. He did have counselling a few years ago which really helped him, and things were good for a while. But now, I truly believe, its only a matter of time now before our marriage comes to an end.

I could be completely wrong of course, but this is my gut feeling. The pressure he has put himself under over the years to give us everything has taken its toll. I have tried many a time to say it doesnt matter, be thankful for what you've got. But it never made any difference. Thats probably why we are in such a mess with regards to debt. He has always thought that he had to prove himself. As far as I am concerned, not to me. I have told him before, you cannot buy peoples love. But he just doesnt get it. I hope it does eventually, but I think that it will be too little too late.

Oh well, enough of my rambling on! lol. Off to my course soon, at least I've got that to keep me occupied. Must chase up Nat West.

have a good day everyone x

Dear JC, my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry you are going through this. Follow everyone's advice. Stick with the separate bank accounts to protect yourself. Good luck with the course today. I finish work at 6ish today. I will try to post then.

    Big hugs,

    SW.

hi all, thought I would pop in quickly. I have been sooooo busy with my course today, I have got a headache! lol. But hopefully, things will starting dropping into place soon, ive got so much to remember!

Not much else going on really, I am glad that I am sorting out the other bank account. OH has totally screwed us up again this month by overspending on stupid stuff earlier on in the month. hopefully wont be able to do that next month, and I can keep a closer eye on things!

We are talking at the moment, but I only talk to him if I have to and I am being polite.

Found 2p whilst out walking to dog, not much, but it all helps :rotfl:

hope you are all ok. have a good evening everyone xx
