Hello poppet,
He doesn't sound like he will change his spending habits. Speak to friends, CAB, experts on here (good advice given last week) to find out any other ways to protect yourself so you are not liable for his debts because he will continue to do the same unfortunately.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Hi all,
Sorry I havent posted in a while. I have been so busy (and stressed) with the course that I have been doing. May has been an awful month for me, I cant wait to see the back of it!!!! I have been feeling so awfully low lately that I just havent felt like posting/talking to anyone, and I am very sorry for that. I should not shut people out, its not right.
Natwest have screwed up opening my new bank account:mad: I was hoping to have it all sorted out for the 1st June, so that most of our money didnt get swallowed up by the overdraft, but thats not going to happen now. So ive got to start my application all over again:mad: how hard is it!??
On a lighter more positive note however, when I started this journey our overall debt balance was just over £92,000:eek: you will see from my sig that it is now under £90,000:j. This is due to me and me only. I have managed to get myself and IT on a self managed DMP which is not ideal I know for credit ratings n stuff, but I had no choice.
I have fought the creditors every step of the way, and now finally I am winning!:j B/card were the only ones left who refused to help, but I received a letter from them yesterday, to say that they will agree to my monthly offer! :j fantastic!
I know its not a big drop, but every little helps, and it feels like a big drop to me!!!
Hope everyone is ok. Sorry for not coming back to you savingwannabe, but I am ok and I am fighting on!!!!!!!
speak soon everyone xxxLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -
